Alright seeing all these Phaneuf trades are rediculous! So what I will do is show you guys what I think Phaneuf will be valued if he go traded to atleast every team. As for his value, no question he is a top pairing defenceman and is an all-star defenceman. But no I do not think he is an elite one like the Letangs and the Doughtys. So here is what I think the Leafs would get if they traded Phaneuf alone to every other 29 teams:

Anaheim: Fowler (long shot). or Sbisa, 1st round pick, Rakell

Boston: Boychuk, Marchand
(Leafs might have to add prosepct/high enough draft pick)

Buffalo: Myers (if possible) or Psykyk, 1st rounder and Armia

Calgary: Brodie, Glencross

Chicago: Hjalmarsson, Pirri and 3rd round

-Fowler is Gardiner 2. 0.
-I love the Boston one but a player like Phaneuf won't get traded within conference, let alone division.
-Myers is pretty good but Buffalo would have to add actually with Myers' down year. Same issue with Boston trade though
-Calgary trade and Chicago ones are not enough

Myers and a 3rd for Phaneuf is tempting.

Phaneuf won't be traded, neither will Kadri, Franson and especially not Kessel.

The LONG shot trade could happen IF Toronto is way out of a playoff spot come the deadline, otherwise Phaneuf stays and likely signs and extension

Those trades are ludicrous. No way Phaneuf is worth anything close to any of that. Fowler, Rakell, AND a 1st?! Even though most leafs fans here are braindead, i'm sure even they are looking at this and saying "WTF?!" You're off in space, fella.

Most of these comments are "anti-leaf", not actual evaluations of the trade.

While the trades are just generally "unrealistic" (from a cap/asset/timing stand point), being anti-leaf doesn't make you right.
