Edmonton gets a 2nd line centre

They do? Where? In a separate deal? Cause all I see is Eller and he is a 3rd line center.

He would be a good stop gate seccond line center until Draisaitl is ready to step up and then he could slide down to the 3rd line

There's better options than giving up that much for Eller: Ribeiro is still a FA (1-yr deal only given his possible attitude issues); Peter Mueller (big, skilled, would probably accept a cheap 1-yr deal because he is reentering the NHL and wants to up his value with a good opening season); Cody Eakin (Dallas has too many fwds and he was already a #2C with Dallas for a season or two); Patrik Berglund (would cost more but is under contract, could seamlessly slip to #3C when draisaitl is ready, and is better than Eller).

Those are the ones off the top of my head, there are probably others as well.

Eller plays the 3rd in montreal but he's on the 2nd for the oilers.
