Trades (if any) I'd like to see my Lightning do today/tomorrow:

Needs:

- physical defenseman (best case would be a non-rental)
- Downie-/Neil-type of player (some secondary scoring, but also toughness, hitting and if needed able to fight)

Trading block:

- Connolly (no he's not a bust, but the TB offense is crowded and you got to give to get sth) and some other F prospects
- Brown/Morrow/Barberio (if anyone is interested, they might be worth sacrificing, especially Brown and Morrow)
- IF there's a possible deal in which TB can get a non-rental to help long-term, I could see Yzerman touching up to a 2nd rd pick)
- maybe one of the goalies (Gudlevskis, Wilcox, York) if the right deal presents itself

Possible targets:

- ARZ D Zbynek Michalek
- COL D Jan Hejda
- NJD F Jordin Tootoo, CGY F Brian McGrattan or EDM F Luke Gazdic
- also heard the names of Petry, Gryba, Zidlicky and Glencross, but I'm not a fan of any of them

Open to ideas for any other player that fits my bill.

Who are you kidding Drais? Connolly has 32 points in 133 games. He's a bust. He's played for 4 seasons and hasn't showed anything worth being a 6th overall pick. Admit it, he sucks. I understand you're a bias lightning fan but the hypocrisy that you present is ridiculous. You relentlessly bash on Kessel (27, constant 30 goal scorer, 75+ points per year playing with Bozak) yet you defend a player who was drafted 6th overall 4 years ago and still hasn't even solidified a spot on the team? Classic example of an angry leaf hater.

Btw, you won't get Michalek for any of that garbage.

1. This has close to nothing to do with my post, great work keep it up
2. Connolly isn't a bust. We've had that many times on here. He's still young and was/is stuck behind a great offense (Stamkos, Callahan, Filppula, Johnson, Kucherov, Palat and formlery Lecavalier, Malone, St.Louis, etc.).
While it's indeed 4 years ago that he's been drafted, he's played in about 1.5 seasons thus far. Not every player develops at the same pace.
This season, he's mostly playing 4th line with Morrow and Boyle. Not exactly the guys that get you points. Yet, he's still in the top 30 of goals scored/60mins. Not that bad, don't you think? Clearly shows his potential. And IF he gets traded, you'll see the return will be much more what I'm talking about than the bs your bashing contains.

Plus, I do not bash on Kessel. I just don't overvalue him as hell, as most leaf fans - including you obviously - do. Kessel plays zero defense and has a hefty contract and this "uncoachable" thing (regardless if true or not) clearly affects his trade value. Period.

kessel has a reupation of being uncoachable because the media has said so. the people that matter know the truth. i'm not sure if he's coachbable or not, the point being that you should take what you hear from the media with a grain of salt, its all about notoriety with them and being opinonated, even if they don't necessarily agree with the stance their writing on, is the best way to gain a following.

Consistently arguing kessels flaws and not talking about his immense talent is not bashing.technicallly haha but I guarantee you would appreciate him more if he played for another team
