No from SJ. Why would they do that?

kadri is more established and better right now for san jose.

also kadri is 24, not exactly old. and could remain a big part after big joe and marleau pack it in.

hertl scored a whopping 31 points last season, certainly a sophmore slump to me, after that promisng rookie season. hopefully he digs deep and comes back strong this season.

he wouldn't be the first player to wow for a season and then disappear.

i think the deal is actually bad for the leafs. call me crazy.

We'll keep Hertl.

Wow, Hertl gets a ton of respect here, good yes, flashy for sure, but is mostly a non factor being fully insulated. Kadri is inconsistent and has a massive chip, easily & honestly Kadri is twice the hockey player that can change a game if he wants to.

When Kadri is on track (I predict this year) he will simply shock NHL fans across the board, and may very well start the year as assistant captain. (Pending Lupul status). Kadri is the perfect example of Man vs. Himself.

It really only makes sense is Jumbo Joe is no longer there and even then, I am not sure SJ needs to make that move

Not even close. San Jose laughs and says no.

The funny thing is everyone is remembering Hertl for his first season. kadri is more consistent and has more promise. Imo

Hertl has played ONE full season. He has more potential, and had a good 1st round of playoffs in 2014.
