Grabner hasn't played a full season in three years, and he has not put up amazing points. But he does have talent.
Grabner gets payed 4m this year and 5m next year.
Purcell gets payed 4.5m for this year and next.

Purcell:

2013-14: 81 GP 42P
2014-15: 82 GP 34P

Grabner:

2013-14: 64GP 26P
2014-15: 34GP 13P

The point of this trade is I just really want to see a speedy Edmonton line. Meanwhile NYI gets a guy that can play on the PP/PK and puts up better points.

Yea, why would he be second line. Hall MacD Yak would be a speedy line. Poo Nuge Ebs. With Grabner MacD Yak second line as you say then you want either Poo or Hall to play third - Nope. Grabner would be third line for sure.
