Would a mason raymond be enough? (Draft pick equivalent of maybe a 3 rd or fourth). Nyi has an abundance of centers so raymond may be a welcome piece. Plus its clears cap space for cgy. Nelson would fit nicely as our second line lw.

Isles also have a log jam of forwards right now without Nelson it would still be,

Lee, taveres, Okposo
Kulemin, Grabovski, Strome
Grabner, Nielsen, Bailey
Clutterbuck, czizkas, Martin

If Nelson gets traded it would either be with Okposo for a top line forward, or for a top 4 d man. They are not trading Nelson for un needed bottom 6 forwards.

raymond is not the draft pick equivalent of a 3rd. raymond was a healthy scratch that is paid north of 3 mil, that is like "i'll pay you to take this guy" territory.

Alright. What if raymond were swapped out and wideman was thrown in. That rounds out your top four. Cgy clears cap. Nyi have a top four and lots of fwrd depth. Everybody wins
