How about NO!? Schultz could end up a top 2/ 4 powerplay defenseman and Yakupov is a former first over-all and for what? Players the pens don't want? There is just no way Chiarelli would accept this.

Lovejoy and Cole are not what Edm needs at all, Lovejoy a UFA, why would Edm want him? Cole is half decent but a third pairing guy and Edm has Gryba, Reinhart, Fayne, Davidson for third pairing. This is just such a dumb idea all around. Not a chance PC does this, jsut zero need.

hgilbert.19 it's not going to happen, Edmonton wants to trade Yakupov and/ or RNH for a top 2 defenseman. You won't get them for picks/ prospects or depthplayers. Edmonton would rather send you Yakupov, Shultz ++ for Letang. However i doubt they trade Yakupov, I think the first guy to go is RNH,
