Calgarys goaltending has been so horrendous that I personally think they should trade Elliot. He hasn't worked out since he arrived. I think he would make a good back up but definitely not a starter, same with Johnson.

Calgary Flames trade Dennis Wideman (25% Retained Salary) + Rasmus Andersson + (2017) Conditional 1st Round Pick + Brian Elliott

I agree with you and I think they should trade for bishop as well, but the route they are taking right now and the schedule they have coming up, their first round pick could be right around #1-5, and it doesn't matter in what draft, in the top 5 you will get a decent player.

i don't think calgary will give up there best prospect defence man for someone they can sign in the offseason.
