-The Leafs are intersted and are close to a deal for Sami Vatanen.
-Leafs have also had talks with the Hawks about Seabook. The Hawks being intersted in JVR as well.
-Sens and Panthers have asked Phanuef and Yandle to waive their no trade clause for the expansion draft.

I prey that Seabrook or Vatanen don't join the leafs. Yandel could be an interesting option. IMO on a strong Contender like Pittsburgh he'd put up 50+ points. I'd take him over Shatenkirk.

Nylander who do you want on d I don't see what you have against Sammy. I also hope they don't trade for seabrook I am also a leaf fan a realistic one so like to here what u think.

Vatanen is 5'10, 180 lbs RD who has never played a full season in the NHL because of injuries and won't be able to do so next year because of his shoulder. He is offensively talented, great shot, good at puck movement and possession but it's defensively where I question him. I just don't think he is the right fit for the Leafs. They are ideally looking for someone to pair with Reilly, to unshackle Reilly offensively, by being a superior shot suppressor, a presence in front of the net, while still maintaining a good possession game. Someone who defensively can take on the opponents best players and be a PK guy. My feeling is that if the Leafs do trade for Vatanen, it's because that perfect fit is not out there and they inquired on Manson, Hamonic, Myers, etc but there was no movement.

I think Vatanen is going to expensive, but if you can get him without trading a boat load, then do it.

I don't think Sammy is the answer but best we could get ideally I would want Trouba but don't think we match to trade with them we need a stay at home solid guy with a pair to clean up in front of Freddy.
