IF it's a Nashville or Anaheim or Minnesota defenseman (ekholm or Vatanen or Brodin), you do it. Basically a top-2 defenseman and another center for Nolan Patrick. I take that as a Devils fan.

I could see that defenseman being one of the Minnesota D-mem if that's who they get to pick from. Although I still think New Jersey would prefer to keep the pick and get Patrick or Hirschier. One of those players might be a better option for New Jersey's future.

However, I think they will still consider and look into options.


@Toasty CBJ I don't think Jack Johnson is enough to make that jump. Maybe Jack Johnson when he was younger but he doesn't have that much value now to bridge that gap.
