Interesting.

I would not do this if i'm the Habs. Chuck is worth way more than Ceci in my opinion. I know that Chuck couldn't exceed expectations but I would let him Play centre (maybe with Drouin on his wing) for a full season and then decide. SP I would give up on him just yet.

Cant see Habs wanting to trade another high calibre player in own division. I think i'd want a little more coming back with Ceci.

Don't think this really works for either team. Ottawa would fill one hole and create another, and Wideman definitely is not capable of playing top-4.

Montreal already has Weber and Petry on the right-side, why would they trade Chuck for a 3rd pairing defenceman?

Cici isn't great. No from habs.

I agree with Swiss, let him play center for a full season and then decide. Even #2 center, bring in Big Joe or someone that can play #1.

McRazzle, for Ottawa they might lose a top 4 for nothing.
For Montreal Ceci would play before Petry, and I do agree with you guys saying that Galchenyuk shouldn't be traded just yet, but there's a lot of talk about him, and if he's going to go, I think that the **Center piece** of the trade coming back could be a guy like Ceci.

I'd much rather them trade a LHD (Methot/ Phaneuf) then because Chabot and Claesson can both come into the top 4 much more easily than Wideman imo.

I agree with that, but let's say you trade Methot and lose Claesson in the expansion draft, that becomes a really skinny left side, where as on the right you won't be losing two players.

Galchenyuk is more valuable than ceci.

Some people think that because 1 team wants to get rid of someone they don't want, the other team will want their unwanted and get value. Why would the Sens want someone who is moody and plays when he wants to play only. Ceci is at least a team player. Besides, more teams are interested in Ceci than in Chucky. Don't get me wrong I like both players and I'm a Hawks fan. I don't think Habs and Sens would trade to each other.

Ottawa would have to add something else in the deal.
