I would want someone more NHL ready than Bean for Galchenyuk. Markov is going to get more than 3 million, probably more like 5 to 5.5.
I think the thought on getting Drouin for Sergachev was to be in a win now mode. So unless Habs can turn Galchenyuk into a peice that will help now, it may be beat to try and retain him, i'm not the coach or GM, but as a fan i'd love to see if him and Drouin can become a good combo. ones a slick passer, the other has a sniper mentality.

Habs have been win now mode for 2-3 years. Drouin deal adds to that mentality. Better making galchenyuk part of a brodin/ vatanen/ trouba etc deal. Someone that no doubt will be a top 4 for the next 3-4 years starting in October.
