I know Atkinson has just signed an extension but IMO he'd be a perfect winger for McDavid.

Oilers get Atkinson and a defenseman on an expiring contract (while Sekera is out). Fayne is a cap dump.

Jackets get a 1/2 centerman they need. They have enough D depth so they can afford to lose Johnson.
