Mtl: Byron

Edm: Slepyshev

Okay so I know Slepyshev is not playing as much as he should be. I know he's not a star but a big winger with energy and talent can become more then a bottom pairing even if he only gets around 30 points during his best nhl season. And I think he will be able to do so. So that why mtl pulls the trigger. And for Edm? Well first by doing this they get a guy who they might be willing to give more ice time too hopefully. A guy who proved in the last couple season that he can get 20 goals/ 40 points and at 2 million? Imagine having him playing with Mcdavid? With his speed I know it sound strange but it could happen. And if he gets 60 points playing with him at 1 million that will look very good and be good for Edm especially with future possible cap problems. Good cheap guy for Good cheap guy.LMK what do you think

I like how you proposed this and brought up Byron’s speed and I that's why I think think oilers should possibly consider this but Slep also is a dec skater with a great shot and I think chiarelli will be looking for a player with a heavy shot in return. But good post!

He may be the one guy that could keep up with McDavid.
I would love to have Sleps. I think he would be great as a 2nd line power forward . jus needs the chance. He has all the tools to be that. He's a Bull., and that's what the Hans are lacking, lots of little guys on the wing, or lanky ones. no muscle .
However, I think we could get Slepyshev cheaper than that.

Is Slepshev the new most overstated player on this site or what? Am I missing something about him?

Haglin And Boedker are faster then McDavid and Byron. Haglin holds the record for fastest skater ever.

You're own fellow Habs fans really like him Habby.
Buck is the one making this trade and Sosa really likes him. Seems like you disagree with them tho.

Nylander did you dream of that bud because that's not true lol.

Well Nulander., let's put a puck on Haglin and Beodkers stick, and one on McDavids and see who does better.
They all have a ton of speed. all 4 mentioned above, however, one really knows how to use it like no one else in history, and the waiver pick up.
Well, he seems to get more goals than Boedker and Haglin.

Habby, I'm not over rating, I jus like the prospect of him. I see something in him, . I think he isn't being used proper in Edmonton. it may be because they have a lot of big strong physical wingers in Lucic, Maroon, Kassian . ect.
Like McJesus said. he's also a good skater. On the Habs, we don't have a lot of size on the wings
I'd really like to see a line of
Droiun with Galchenyuk and Slepyshev as his wingers.

I can't argue whether or not he'd be worth taking a shot at cause he probably would but Sosa would you consider giving up byron for him straight up?

No Habby. I wouldn't. Only because Byron is more proven, with Montreal Byron has been given a chance and thrived with it, and become a pretty damn good player. I believe Slepyshev also needs a shot. I think a pick like a 4th, or 3rd could land him. . at this point, I'd offer up DelaRose. but don't think Edmonton would want him., they would prefer the pick I'm sure.

I really like this deal. It’s a realistic mid season tweeker trade that could end up causing a spark in both line ups.

I really like Slepyshev. Think he would be great in mtl. Would you do this trade from Rem perspective yup?

Edm needs to add to this because Byron has another year of term. Perhaps a 3rd / 4th rounder?

Good deal for both teams I think though. Slepy has some size that the habs need, Byron has speed Edm needs.

Good trade!
