Why is Mathews overrated Flamer? I understand Nylander is extreme with the Marner and Nylander talk, but c’mon. You’ve already told everyone you only watch Alberta teams, so your knowledge of players is very limited. No one person is going to bring in a cup, not even Johnny hockey! Look at the Oilers with McDavid. The leafs are a FEW key pieces away from winning a cup. How could Calgary win a cup anyways when the officiating is out to get them? That was the funniest thing I’ve ever heard someone say. Try and watch some other teams play before judging players, you sound like a dotard!

Leafs17 we already know you're Nylander so cut the crap. And matthews is overrated cause he is literally on every article that has to do with sports even if he hasn't done anything he still gets a story. In his rookie year he was put in the Top 5 over guys like Malkin, Tavares, Kucherov, Stamkos, Gaudreau. And i watch highlights and stats. I fully watch alberta games from 1st period to 3rd. Occasionally if my team ain't playing i watch the rest of the chel.

IF you wouldn't take Matthews over Guadreau, idek. I know your a Flames fan, but i'd take a lot of centres over Johnny simply because he's a smaller winger. he's only good at one thing.

But Nylander, Guadreau>>Marner. Marners good, but Gaudreaus playing admireably. Still, Matthews>Gaudrau.

Marner is also 3 years younger then Guadreau And has much more potential. Wait 3 years and he’ll be a top 5 RW in the nhl. He is patty Kane without as good as a scoring touch in fact he is already a much better skater and has better hands. Guadreau can’t hold marners skates in the long run. Hamilton can’t even crack 25 minutes a night in a sub par Calargry defence. ( yes they have 4 top 4 dman but not a true top pairing guy )

This trade in no way improves the Maple Leafs. I don't see them biting.

Calgary has given away their 2nd round picks for the next 2 drafts, so trade as proposed won't work anyways.

I never said i wouldn't take Matthews over Gaudreau. His two way game is way better than Gaudreaus, he's a leader and a better goal scorer. They are both unique in their own ways
