Mtl:Patches

Mtl needs a good LHD prospect and CCY gets the best top line winger available. Fair?

Habs are going to want more than a prospect. although he is a good one. so was Maata and Ninnama. ect. I wouldn't trade Patches for those guys.

What would you like to see done with Patches? Do we keep him.? Try and re sign him. or do WE trade him. and what would you like to see come back.?
I personally would love to see Habs find him a center. but I don't think that is going to happen.
So if we could get that Finnish kid and say Jankowski or Bennett i'd be inclined to want that.
But i'm horrible at trades. so I'd like to see what some other Habs fans. (And others) think is the true value or right thing to do in this situation.

Pacioretty isn't a rental first og all and he's on a good contract tbh we trade him to someone like stl blues and retain 50% on him we have way too much cap space and retaining 2.25mil isn't a lot for another year and a half


So some proposals would be

Stl trades- Thomas, 2018 2nd, 2019 2nd.

Mtl trades- pacioretty (50% retained)

Sharks trades- Joshua norris, 2018 1st, 2018 4th.

Mtl trades- Pacioretty (50% retained), plekanec (50% retained) .

If the right deal doesn't come by the deadline maybe it will at the draft. there is no need to rush a trade with pacioretty.

I would trade Patches before the deadline. He'll have more value than during the draft, since he'll be able to help on two playoff pushes. Having a guy on a 1yr deal is way less enticing.
