With Matthews out for presumably the next 2-4 games, I think Toronto could use some more centre depth:
Mark Letestu to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Joshua Leivo and a conditional 6th Round Pick.
Condition: If Letestu resigns, Edmonton gets the pick.
Without, Auston, heres my lineup:
Marleau - Kadri - Marner
JVR - Bozak - Brown
Hyman - Letestu - Nylander
Komarov - Moore - Kapanen
With Auston:
Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
Marleau - Kadri - Marner

Naw. Don't need Martin and Leo in the lineup at the same time. Needa be able to roll four fast lines. that's why Dom Moore is in the lineup right now.

Not bad. Just don’t think Letestu pushes bozak to 4th line. Jvr is a consistent 28-30 goal player and on pace for that or better again with bozak as his centre for 4 straight years. You really think Letestu takes that spot?

Yeah @UBJ was trying to debate that one. I just feel like Letestu on the third and Bozak on the fourth makes us more balanced. Cause imo, Letestu would be a good defensively minded centre (better than Bozak in that regard), and could help shore up for JVR's lapses at even strength. And Komarov/ Bozak/ Kapanen as a fourth line would wreck anyone hands down.
However, with the Bozak line seeming to catch fire over the last 3-4 games, I think it may be better to keep them together tbh.

If Edmonton could get Leivo one for one for Letestu I think that would be difficult for oilers to say no to! Good trade for both teams imo, wish we didn’t have to trade Letestu but going to clear the ufas this year.
