Wow! Some guys really overrate the value of draft picks.

Man Montreal needs to add way way more not even close my dude.

Seriously memarcusjoe? Two 30 year old, easily replaceable top 9 forwards for the 3rd overall. I know you’re a jets fan but the value is there.

Leafs17,
Little is a 2C and the Jets are a contending team. Giving away two good roster players for a pick that won't help us for 2 or 3 years doesn't help the Jets at all. As I said way too many people place too high a value on shiny new toys. The value just is not there, at least for the Jets.

They’re career 40 point guys. If Toronto was offered the 3rd overall for Bozak (if he had a contract) and a similar player, I’d be all over it. Why do you think that McJ?

Memarcus your crazy man. what's fair value for Little? Kessel? Or like Marner? Lmao. Little isn’t getting traded because he is a 2C on a contending team, but his value is a low first. Not a high first, lmao. Little is basically Tyler Bozak with term. so, I woukdnt say his value is exceptionally high, lol.

lollll never happening keep your old players.

I can see doing it for Bozak, he's a disaster defensively and is nowhere near Little talent wise.
Plus, you still haven't addressed how this helps the Jets when they already have more NHL ready prospects than they can fit on the team as it is.

It’s good for the Jets Because Zandina would put up 40 goals along side Wheeler and Schifele while only being 18,on a ELC and gaining cap space to sign a better 2c like Stasny. Niether of this players are a starter point for the 3rd overall. Try Ehlers/ Trouba+.

I understand your point about it not being what the jets need because they are contenders. However, the value is there. Little would be best suited as a 3rd line Center, just like Bozak. They both played above their heads for years because they had to. Don’t think Little is anything special, cause he’s not.

I don’t think anyone got my joke 😢
But for real this is so so so bad for Montreal lmao heats.

They need to build up through the draft and build their young core. They aren’t contenders anymore.

Zadina>Little next year, lmao.

Zadina's NHL ready. Zadina will be better than Little next yera. Zadina has 60-70 point capabilities. Little doesn't.

Boom. there's your explanation.

And don't tell me 'he isn't proven'. Laine, Matthews, Eichel, McDavid, Ekblad, all of them high picks flourished. Zadina could go #2 or #3, and he and Svech are basically identical talents, with different skillsets, but both are excellent talented players.

Both are better than Little. And will be next year. End of story.

Yup, Svech and Zadina are can't miss prospects just like Yakupov was. You guys go ahead and trade your good roster players for magic beans. It will keep you near the bottom of the standings for years to come instead of Stanley Cup contenders like the Jets.

If the Jets are going to be trading those 2 players I expect they would want a top 6 forward player or a A prospect. The Jets don't need this pick which will be good in 2/ 3 years for two players that bring a lot to the team. Plus I hope Montreal isn't so stupid as to trade away a #3 overall pick, but after all it is Bergevin.

I agree. Montreal needs to keep the pick and start re-building properly through the draft instead of trying for quick fixes. It may be a long road, but they can't fix the team they currently have, especially with an idiot like Bergevin at the helm.

That’s big talk for a team that has had one good season in team history.
