Myers would be n affordable player and would be the Leafs #1 right shot d-man. Good right shot d-men are worth more than a # 25th pick. I think the if the Jets were to move him it would be for bit more than this offer.

Looks to be fair value to me. Just because Myers would be the number one RHD on the Leafs (no debate there) does not mean he gets the return that Doughty or another true top pairing defenceman would get. Plus he only has one more year on his contract. Maybe the Leafs add a later round pick or a meh prospect.

My understanding is that the Jets are looking to free up some cap for key extensions and potentially get back in the 1st round in the draft. This accomplishes both. Plus they are stacked on the RHS on D with Trouba and Buff.

I agree. The 1st and a decent prospect (B/ C type) would probably be what the Jets would want if they decide to move Myers.
