That would be a pretty easy no thanks from Chicago.

Pinball, are you trying to start a fight with the Leaf fans? Always love reading your proposals. You drive a hard bargain. We get DeBrincat for taking Seabrook and Saad’s deadweight contracts? If I thought for even one second that this was financially possible, I would have to wonder if either team would be willing to do it?

It’s an interesting proposal you floated here. How much extra salary would a team be willing to take on in the form of a dump to get DeBrincat? I’m sure the answer varies from team to team.

I don’t think Leafs are financially capable of helping out Chicago much with their cap problems. We have enough of our own.

That’s a lot of cap space for the leafs to take on to get debincrat. Does deboncrat also play the wing? Doesn’t really matter still not worth taking on seabrooks contract. if leafs were getting seabrook from 4 years ago I’d be all over it but not at this point in his career and with his contract. Unless leafs could trade nylander for a Trouba or a Slavin/ Pesce type defenceman young enough to fit with their core and not over paid their better off signing nylander instead of taking back 13 million in cap space. Hortons contract means nothing to the leafs as they can afford it and it doesn’t affect their cap situation.

Nylander>>Debrincat

People tend to forget Nylander has potential to be a PPG player he should fetch something to what Boston got for Kessel.

vbbb i would say debrincat and nylander are very similar in value, no way leafs get two early firsts and a second for nylander, you're delusional.

Okay so where does DeBrincat NOT have ppg potential, VB?

In all honesty people I believe even if Nylander isn't signed they don't Trade him, you will never get the value back no matter what you think you can get, in a perfect world if I am Trading Nylander I want a player of equal value like Dumba out of Minnesota, but they aren't doing that, I post fun ideas on here, I actually like Saad as a shotgun Winger for Matthews but at the right price, I posted a Leivo plus Draft Picks for Saad and would do that if Chicago took back 2mill each year left on his 3yr Contract at 6mill a year.

Debrincat is good but you’re also taking back an anchor of a contract in Seabrook which would cause the leafs to have to let Mathews walk ( Trade ) and would cause trouble resigning Marner. Taking back Seabrook would mean-two of Mathews, Marner, Tavares and Nylander would have to go.

This destroys the leafs cap situation. Turns them from a contender to a bottom 5 team. Adding 12 million to an already strapped cap team.

No for both Toronto and Chicago. Would not work for either team. Toronto cannot take on them salaries and Chicago cannot lose 2 top 6 forwards for 1 and take on an older Hainsey with the only gain to abolish Seabrook's contract. Wrong pieces for both teams.

Nylander and holl for Kahun, Murphy, Gustaffson and a 2019 4th round pick is the best deal Toronto will get from Chicago and all the hawks can give up of value.
