This trade is so bad that I am actually tempted to take a trade from Pinball where it was Josh Levio plus 2nd for Nyquist.

So this is clearly even more trolling than a Pinball trade. Just saying.

Regardless, Nyquist will be traded for late 1st with retention or possibly 2 2nds if bidding is competitive. Wrists case if his value is low would be 2nd and 3rd.

This 4th might get you Nyquist'e beard shavings haha.

If Carolina has a chance to make the playoffs they may make a trade like this. Nyqvist is having a very good year on a poor Detroit team. At current pace for 20 goals and 60 points. I got to imagine at minimal a 1st+ is included here. And if Detroit is doing Carolina a favor by retaining salary, even though Canes have plenty of cap space while Detroit does not, a half decent pick/ prospect must needs to be added.

I mean, right idea, right team, right player. Just an underwhelming offer is all. Nothing comes off the roster for Canes, so it’s a low risk/ high reward scenario. Precisely the type most gm’s enjoy.
