This is a type of Trade the Blues might be looking to make as there Roster just isn't working, Zaitsev may not be a Top 4 Defenceman but he is an NHL Full Time Defenceman not a Depth Player, Bracco is showing he will be an NHL Player on the Top 6 and St.Louis is weak on RWing, Borgman isn't bad just no room on the Left Side with the Leafs, adding a 1st and 4th Rounder is what the Blues need for there future to make this Trade Proposal possible.

Leafs get a big LWinger for the Playoffs in Maroon and get the Defenceman to improve there weakness on the Right Side, yes some of there future will be Traded away but they have enough depth that it's a positive Trade Proposal for them.

Need at least Kapanen or Nylander in the deal if you want Parayko. Why would St. Louis want an unproven winger for a proven top 4 RH defenseman?

All your trades are pretty much the exact same thing each time. As said before these scraps and a late first from the leafs doesn’t get you a young big skilled dman. Your going to have to start with nylander, Kapanen or Liljegren to get the conversation started with the blues. come up with something different, these are getting old.

Pinball, I get it you are bored you like to getvreactiins from people, but this nonsense needs to stop. I will break this down starting with your misconcieved reasoning.

The blues are on a role 6 3 1 in the last 10 games almost at 500 and have beaten some of the best teams in the league. It appears Craig Berube new system has stabilized this team. As for being weak on the rw, we have tarasenko, perron, Thomas, with Blais kyrou and kostin developing in the ahl. Bracco is under sized and un needed. He may make nhl or may be next th rattle. Nothing special. Borgman is nothing special. Zaitsev is a 5 year bottom pairing cap dump. The first rounder will be 28-31 and the fourth is useless.

So to sum it up this is a sheet offer.

1) quantity for quality is crap
2) nobody wants zaitsev as a 5 year cap dump. That alone will cost you a first round pick.
3) nobody wants Toronto table scraps for a top pairing #1rhd player eating up 27-28 mins a night.
4) honestly w ouldntg trade parayko for nylander +++ now that parayko is proving he can be #1rhd on team and nylander has 2 points in 10 games. Sure he will bounce back but shows how much more parayko is worth.

i agree with you colt, except that zaitsev isn't going to cost the leafs a 1st to get rid off. he's not old, and he does his role well enough. overpaid but doesn't warrant a ‘1st as the price to pay’.

He is being paid way to much for a mediocre 4 5 dma n. Puts up no points and is paid that salary for 5 more years. Blues will not want that coming back.
