There is no need for TB to include Cirelli (or anyone from the active roster) in order to trade Callahan. They could easily keep him until the summer and either trade him then or buy him out since he's got just 1 year left then.
As for the Panarin trade, they would definitely try and make that work without Cernak, their right side D is their weak point already. Killorn, Raddysh and 1st + maaaybe another prospect seems like high enough of a price for a rental which we technically don't really need in first place.

Tbh I wouldn't give a 2nd for cirelli and Callahan . Cirelli is ok but most teams already have a couple guys like him. just not worth it to take back Callahan even for just the one year. I mean essentially it's probably the equivalent of giving a 1st and 2nd for cirelli and he's not worth that yet.

agree with habby, coyotes should keep their pick.

The first trade is necessary to free up the salary to make the second trade possible. So, combining the two trades, Tampa is losing six players, some very good ones at that, and bringing in Panarin + 2nd. And once Panarin walks end of season, Tampa just gutted their depth and prospect pool for a 2nd.

Ya again it’s not going to take that much to move Callahan’s Contract. And I don’t think they’d be willing to give up a lot to move it in the summer with a buyout being a legitimate option. Paquette is more likely to be moved out of the lineup for a rental than moved up a line, I’m not sure Tampa is a better team with that roster and definitely isn’t better going forward.
