1st Round Pick 2019

Leafs get a 1st Round Pick to either use in a deadline trade or keep it to get this year's 1st Round Pick back.

Pittsburgh needs a Top 4 Defenceman to make a push for the Playoffs and Gardiner would fit in with there Team.

I don't think Pit does this as a pure rental. If they move Kessel out and clear space to re-sign him, I could see this from their end. TOR isn't going to trade Gardiner when they are a favorite for the cup. They need him.

Pittsburgh is also a conference rival. If Gardiner does get traded, it will be to a team in the west.

They just don’t have as good as a team as Pittsburgh or Tampa imo. If they added Karlsson they would be better imo.

I think they stack up a lot better against Tampa than they do against Boston.
