As everyone here hopefully knows Malkin is probably done in Pittsburgh and the front runner is Florida. Kessel is also apparently on the the block. Letang,Guzentzel, Murray and Crosby are the Pens only untouchables the Panthers have a ton of cap and can afford to take on both how do these trades sound?

Pittsburgh- Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel And 21st overall

Florida- Vincent Trochek, Johnathan Huberdeau ( 92 points this season ), Alexi Hepponemi and 13th overall

Pittsburgh- gets a young star coming off a 92 point season at a great contract while he's probably not as good as the two players Pittsburgh is giving he's still a very good player. Trochek is a solid 2C coming of a week season. He will likely bounce back. Hepponemi is a solid forward prospect with nice potential. The also move up 8 spots.

Florida- Malkin gives the Panthers a crazy 1-2 punch of Barkov and Malkin. Kessel is also a great player and can replace Huberdeau with ease. This makes the Panthers a much better team and opens a Stanley cup window.

Is Florida giving up to much?

I think Florida gives up too much, if they’re trading for a guy like Kessel and Malkin it’s be to add to their offence not trade for them and give up young top 6 forwards and high draft picks. I think they’d be trying to get more secondary scoring and if they trade away huberdeau and Trochek they’re not any further ahead then they are now. Yes Kessel and Malkin are better now but for how much longer will that be the case. They should hold off see if they can sign Panarin and goalie Bob and keep their forward core in tact. They should trying to add without taking away top 6 roster players.

No way Florida is trading huberdeau I think unless they get something crazy. he's a great player on a really good contract. Bit I'd say Florida is giving up to much. No incentive to get older and much more salary. Plus rumours that Florida is making a run at panarin and bob.

Florida gets more expensive and older. They’ll be upgrading talent for what 2 years? Not to mention they trade the better pick and a prospect. No from them. Especially if they plan to spend big money in free agency.

I like it tbh but i think florida may say no depending on how much they value Huberdeau which my guess is alot.

Florida has a strong offense and desperately needs defense so I don't think this trade address' their needs for a top pairing defense man.

Yes, FLA is giving too much esp considering the age of the Pens players.
