This is both a Player and Cap Trade, Ottawa has a Ton of Cap Space and getting 3 NHL Players for 1 backup Goaltender makes sense to them, Yes Sparks is suspect to be an NHLer but still gives Ottawa depth, as for Zaitsev his problem is his Contract but again Ottawa has the Space, FGauthier gives them a big young still 4th Line Centre that should fit in fine for the Sens.
Leafs get there backup to FAndersen so makes sense for them as well as saving just over 3m in Cap.

Ottawa has cap space now, but 6 more years of zaitsev is lots, when he didn't improve his second year. If Toronto plays him on pp and pads his point total they might move him easier.

Zaitsev going to have to add futers to unload . Sparks and gauthier have little to no value.
