Anthony Mantha, Darren Helm & 3rd for Tj Brodie & Michael Frolik

[ Top 6 F & Top 4 D for Top 6 F, Bottom 6 F & low pick]

Ultimately its for Calgary to shed some cap space and for detroit to get solid players on expiring deals to decide if they want to resign them or not considering they are still in a rebuild.

Darren Helm 3.85 x 2 yr
Anthony Mantha 3.30 x 2 yr

Tj Brodie 4.65 x 1 yr
Michael Frolik 4.30 x 1 yr

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm

Tkachuk - Backlund - Mantha

Lucic - Jankowski - Bennett

Mangiapane - Ryan - Czarnik / Quine

Giordano - Andersson

Hanifin - Hamonic

Kylington - Stone

You wish, eh.

Labeling Mantha and Frolik the same is next level delusional. Easy no from DET.

Detroit is rebuilding so they trade away a younger player for players on expiring contracts? Don’t think that’s the way it works.

Ebsolutley, that's exactly how it works. Helm ain't young and mantha not anything special. Can trade the Calgary guys at the deadline for more most likely.

You're looking at it from Calgarys point of view but ignoring where Detroit is trying to acquire picks for their future.

I'd counter with:

Frolik and a 2021 4th (assuming Frolik accepts a trade to Detroit with his MNTC)

for

Helm

Assuming this happens to shave some cap space for Calgary to sign Tkachuk or even use the cap flexibility for a trade later this season.

I also noticed you proposed a trade to take Helm from Detroit but you don't even project him to fit in the lineup, so why is this trade happening?
