Agreed expansion is happening,

This is just a move that makes sense to me and if you read in between the lines it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Quebec city is building a state of the art stadium that will hold 23,000

So is Toronto (in Markham)

The NBA Milwaukee Bucks sold in October with owners intension to move them to Seattle, with a stadium that could host an NHL team.

Potential Las Vegas owner has just been granted permission by Bettman to do market research on the Vegas market for an NHL franchise.

Just an educated guess but I think the NHL will expand 2 teams, and relocate 2 teams (flordia and PHO)

In the Next 5 years we will have a 32 team league with Seattle, Quebec, Vegas and Toronto as the new franchises. Flo and PHO will be gone.

Love or hate Bettman he is a genius when it comes to being commissioner of the NHL and has grown the league into what it is today. Expansion is happening!

Actually the Atlantic can be changed to the North East Division and the Metropolitan can be changed to the Atlantic Division now.
