03/12/2008 When the Avalanche return to practice Thursday morning, they probably will be joined by their expensive left winger, Ryan Smyth. Smyth, the team mentioned Tuesday, is probably going to return after making a speedy recovery from the scary hit he had taken March 1 in a game against L.A. He suffered a concussion and slightly separated shoulder after being hit by Kings defenseman Jack Johnson into the turnbuckle nearer to the Avs' bench.

02/19/2008 Defenseman and captain Rob Blake mentioned Sunday that he has not been asked to waive his no trade clause or does he would like to do so. "I would like to remain here and remain a King", mentioned the injured Blake, who was at the team's practice facility. "I stressed that with them and talked about the plans of the Kings and the future and a lot of different things.
