Phoenix is going to be making some trades near the deadline.

Here's one idea.

To Phoenix - Markstromm, Hansen, Jensen, 1st 2015 and a 2nd 2016

To Van - Boedker or Vermette and a 1st (2015)

Van gives up 2 B level prospects and a Good Utility player, they get a UFA in Boedker and an upgraded 1st round pick.

The trade of the 1st round picks is what makes the trade.

If they remove the 1st's

To phoenix - Jensen and a 2nd

To Van - Boedker or Vermette

Lets see what people think, am I way off, or is this plausible.

Ace

1.) I don't even think that gets you Boedker

2.) Boedker is a RFA

3.) 09 Jan 2015 20:33:19
according to NHLnumbers.com Boedker is a UFA

To Edmonton: Kassian, Tanev, Lack, Jensen 2015 1st, 2016 2nd.

To Vancouver: Hall and Shultz.

Ace

1.) God please no, the kid has talent but he's soft on the puck, and has a bad attitude. I guess I would to having to live in Edmonton!

2.) 17 Dec 2014 00:50:21
I'm a Canucks fan, but I don't think this trade will work out. I highly doubt Canucks would downgrade from Tanev to Schultz. Plus this trade makes the Canucks giveaway too much depth from their roster. I would rather have keep 4 strong young players with potential, than trade them for 2 young, high potential players that have more cap than them combined.

3.) 17 Dec 2014 01:09:43
whats with all these hall deals?

not only are they all horrible, hall should be the last guy EDM trades, so they wouldn't be trading him any time soon I assume.

4.) I wouldn't trade Bonino for Hall straight up. I finally found Hall on the twelve page of points this year. Anyone say overrated!

5.) From a flames fan I'm guessing it would start with horvat and probably include shinkaruk

Ryan Johansen will be getting Offer Sheeted by the Florida Panthers in the next 4 days.

Heard it here first.

Ace

1.) No, he won't. Heard it here months ago.

2.) 29 Sep 2014 19:26:38
I heard it from an inside source on Friday, I believe it will happen.

3.) Four days were up yesterday, was there an offer I missed?

To Vancouver: Yakupov & 3rd

To Edmonton: Edler, Hansen

Trade frees up some Cap space for the Canucks, gives Edmonton a Defencemen capable of being there No. 1.

To Vancouver: Kane, Bogosian

To Winnipeg: Shinkaruk, Marktstrom, Tommernes, Higgins, 2016 1st, 2015 2nd.

Canucks woulds till need to trade someone to get back under the cap, but I think the Value is there in both trades.

Ace

1.) I'd take Edler over Yak straight up any day!

11 Jul 2014 18:35:11
K, let me try this again.

To Vancouver: Kane

To Winnipeg: Higgins, Fox, Markstromm and a 2nd.

Winnipeg gets a top 6-7 forward, a A-B level Prospect (Fox), a A-B level Prospect (markstromm) and a 2nd.

Vancouver gets a home grown player that wants to play their.

(Winnipeg isn't going to get better offers than that.)

Ace

1.) Wpg wouldn't get better offers than that?? you're delusional

2.) Jets will want First in any of the following years

3.) 11 Jul 2014 22:40:31
who is fox?

ive never even heard of him, so I don't thinks he's a A level prospect.

4.) Who's the top 6-7 forward, Higgins?
Winnipeg hangs up and tells Kane to put his big boy pants on

5.) -Higgins is a 6-7 forward

-Fox isn't even close to an A-B level prospect more likely he ends up on the 3rd line in the future (hopefully he does better).

-Markstrom has to many question marks surrounding him to be considered an A-B level prospect

Not enough for Kane

I guess its that time a year where we make our predictions.

So here are mine.

Start with the east

Pitts over NYI in 7 (Nabokov stands on his head and Tavares gets 13 points)

Ottawa over Montreal in 5 (Karlson and Anderson are healthy)

Washington sweeps NYR in 4 (Payback)

Boston over Toronto in 6 (Boston will beat em up)

For the west

Chicago over Min in 5

Anaheim over Detroit in 7 (could go either way)

Vancouver over SJ in 5 (Schneider posts 2 shut outs)

St Louis over LA in 6 (The desperation isn't there for LA)

back to east

Pitts over Ottawa in 5

Bost over Was in 7

to the west

St Louis over Chi in 7

Van over Ana in 6

east

Pits over Boston in 7

west

Van over St Louis in 7

CUP

Van takes it in 7.

Ace

1.) So your saying these vancouver canucks are going to win the cup.

if nyi pitts goes 7 I see the isles taking it, but in reality itll probably be pitts in 5

if ottawa beats the habs it goes 7

wash sweeps? seriously? nyr in 6

detriot has a good shot at beating ana,

dont count your chicken on the nucks even getting out of the first round.

if shneids loses game 1 at home you better believe the playoff freakout goaltending carosel comes out in van city.

-ovies hero

2.) Let me guess, your a vancouver fan

hab.

3.) Of course i'm a canucks fan, I have to go with them to win the cup.

Other than that my pics are what I think will happen, to some degree.

Obviously most of my predictions won't come true.

But those are the way I think the 1st round series play out.

4.) I have problems with every series in the 1st round but 2

5.) Just because your a canucks fan doesn't mean you should predict them to win, you should cheer your little heart out, but at least try to be realistic.

-ovies hero

6.) @Ovies hero, how am I not being realistic, the Canucks aren't Toronto here, the Canucks are legitimate contenders, and have been for the last 4 years, remember last year how they were the favorites? Remember how they won the presidents trophy the last two years in a row? Remember how they have one there Division the last 5 years in a row and 7 out of the last 8?

Give your head a shake. Have fun watching Toronto get swept by the Bruins.

O ya, and remember 2 years ago when they made it to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals?

Also, the last 3 cup champs have all had to all go through Vancouver. The experience is there, the Talent is there, the Canucks are capably of getting there.

7.) @Ovies hero, in the hockey pool I just did, I went heavy on Pittsburg and St. Louis (deeper), and I only drafted Edler on the Canucks.

8.) So you rip on me for mocking your predicitions. let me know how awesome vancouver is. then tell me that on something you put time and effort into, meaning you actually CARE about the outcome of more than the opinions of others on this site, you only took edler, even though they're going to win cup.

you really don't have a clue do you.

did I even mention the leafs? have you seen me predict them winning the series against the bruins? no, i'm going to cheer my little heart out, but i'm a realist and just hope they make it exciting to watch because that's what I care about, being entertained.

For some reason I thought Toronto traded Clarkson to Carolina for Semin already.

I donno, I think Statsny is going to dip in points, Cammalleri could be good, but probably wont, Bieksa is not that grate of a fantasy defensmen, Downie and Neil aren't that great either. Lehner won't play to many games.

1. Edler
2. Barker, Brule.
3. Lehtonen (not much of a dark horse, just needs to stay healthy). Dark Horse - Schneider.
4. William Nylander. (The Leafs savior)
5. Ondre Palat - Kid should have won the Calder last year, and will win the Selke in the next 5-10 years.
