why would toronto do that he hasn't had the best season ever but he has 32 points in 49 games that's a 50 point season for a 20 year old he has so much time to reach his full potential not adding the fact that he played so many games on the fourth line. People keep undervaluing him just because he doesn't have as good of a season as last year.

Contracts and age, it's not too bad a deal straight up. Maybe slight small add in from Edm (not Nurse, Not Puljujarvi)
Patches $4.5 this and next year then a big raise Edm for resign him.
Nuge $6M this and three more years and 5 years younger.
If Nuge keeps this year up its not as bad a trade as Habs fans will come on screaming.

Nuge + Benning for Patches + 2nd is pretty close IMO.
Would just not be good to trade Benning right now while Sekera is still out. But that trade isn't bad.
