1.) 09 Nov 2018 13:02:41
Huh? Assume Sprong i think?

If so, not bad.

2.) 09 Nov 2018 14:42:14
Ahah yes Sprong my bad. Robaxacet for my back is what I blaming this on.

09 Nov 2018 02:04:17
Purely value wise I do not want tml to do but curious if it's even clost

Mtl:Domi

St Louis:Brayden S

BoomBoomGerffrion

1.) 09 Nov 2018 03:26:04
No from stl

2.) 09 Nov 2018 05:15:47
Domi has been impressive and if he keeps it up, ask this question again next year. But right now, I think people take Schenns 2 way game and track record.

3.) 09 Nov 2018 11:27:34
Ya I know, I asked the question because I remember being mad at Marc Bergevin when Scheen was traded for peanuts imo. I wanted Bergie to offer more then St Louis did especially after the season Scheen just had. Wow. Plus he's a center. But Domi reminds me of him and the fact he now plays center, even more. Do u guys see a possible future Brayden Scheen is Max Domi? Remember Scheen took some time to establish himself as a top 6 player.

4.) 09 Nov 2018 15:24:58
first off two first round picks with the last one being a 27th pick in 17 draft which got them morgan frost and the 14th pick in 18 for joeal farabe and jori lehtera 3rd line center.

That's not peanuts.

Schenn is not going anywhere.

5.) 09 Nov 2018 17:23:01
IMO two late first for a 26 year old 70 point two way center is peanuts.

6.) 09 Nov 2018 17:23:32
Jori Lethera isn't too good.

7.) 09 Nov 2018 17:23:49
I wouldn't trade Domi straight up for Scheen atm because of age.

8.) 09 Nov 2018 17:27:48
I'm happy with Domi. let's jus keep em, and see how this plays out.

9.) 09 Nov 2018 21:47:08
so 14th pick is a late round pick,

Morgan Frost picked at 27th.
ohl 17-18
GP67 G42 A70 pts112 1.67ppg% as a center
18-19
gp19 G12 P21 pts 33 1.73ppg% as a center.

Joel Farabee
us National 18 17-18
gp36 g18 a18 1ppg%
ncaa 18-19
gp6 g2 a1 pt3 as an 18 yearold fresh man.

Lol to sit here and say that's peanuts is effing hilarious. They are saying that frost is projected to be a #1c like thomas. You don't have a player or prospect on your team that compares to him lol. Next time before you open your mouth do your research.

Doesnt matter who you want schenn is going no where Brah.

No from Pittsburgh

07 Nov 2018 23:42:23
If Weber comes back to play in the next few weeks(huge if but the fact he's traveling with the team gives us a little hope) should mtl consider trading Petry? If so would leads accept this:

Mtl: Petry, Fleury,Sherback,2rd 2019, Primeau

Tor: Nylander(unsigned)

At 5.5 million for a 28 year old RHD I would think Petry would hold a decent amount of value no?

BoomBoomGerffrion

1.) 08 Nov 2018 01:29:19
Jeff Petrys 31 in a few weeks, not 28. Scherbak doesn’t really excite me, not sure of the value of the other 2 prospects at all. But no team will take Nylander unsigned. They wouldn’t take the risk for one, and leafs would want a deal done to maximize their return.

2.) 08 Nov 2018 02:01:03
Petry is 30 years old. He’s off to a good start this year. Doesn’t fit any of Leafs long term plans though, and the rest of the guys seem like random throw-ins to rid Montreal of some excess baggage they don’t want.

Leafs pass.

3.) 08 Nov 2018 10:25:55
Holly I tought he was younger then that.

4.) 08 Nov 2018 10:27:22
Fleury is a good prospect tho. And Petry fits the needs for Leafs short term. 2 rd pick is good to have. I think Dubas at the very least considers.

5.) 08 Nov 2018 11:53:51
Fleury and primeau are both two real good prospects but it doesn't matter leafs won't trade him to the habs anyway.

6.) 08 Nov 2018 17:25:55
Too much for nylander. if Toronto doesn't want to pay him as a high end player then they can't expect to trade him like he is.

06 Nov 2018 11:04:09
Mtl:Plecanek,Sherback

Min:Erikson Ek

BoomBoomGerffrion

1.) 06 Nov 2018 17:59:56
Plekanec can’t get in the habs lineup. He’s a cap dump now that minny wouldn’t want and adds no value, probably takes away value from Scherbak. I don’t know if minny does just the swap of the 2 young guys, probably not, but definitely not once you add in plek. Also, not sure, but I would have thought plek got a NTC? Maybe not, just usually a guy with that history in an organization gets some say in his future at this point in his career.

2.) 06 Nov 2018 21:30:26
Plekanec is injured jim that's why he hasn't been playing. he's actually the same player that got a 2nd and two prospects at the deadline last year. Only difference he's got a cheaper contract this year.

3.) 06 Nov 2018 21:28:28
Fair enough Jim and no on the NTC.

4.) 06 Nov 2018 23:51:08
Was he not healthy scratched off the start? I’m positive he was, could be wrong but saw a habs game earlier that he wasn’t dressed fit and wasn’t hurt.

5.) 06 Nov 2018 23:58:30
Just looked, he was scratched for 3 of the first 6 games, hurt now, okay I didn’t know about that, but how many times has he been scratched in the last cpl years? I don’t think that makes him the same player if he wasn’t cracking that lineup to start. I like plek, was happy to get him last year, he had a few good game mixed with a lot of lacklustre ones once he came over. Wasn’t the same player for us that I remember him with the habs, but figured maybe his heart just wasn’t in it the same understandably. But then being benched back in Montreal tells me he’s not the same player he was a year ago. Doesn’t that make sense?

6.) 07 Nov 2018 13:57:05
It does but the plan at the beginning of the season was for him to sit out the first game so he would play his 1000th game at home. But the habs played such a good game against the leafs that they went with the same lineup. He got back into the lineup and would still be playing now if he didn't get injured.

7.) 07 Nov 2018 13:58:53
I don't think he was scratched at all last year.

8.) 07 Nov 2018 13:59:06
But back to the original point he has very little if any trade value at this point of the season if he can get back from his injury he might fetch another pick at the deadline to a team looking to upgrade their 4th line center position and penalty kill.

9.) 07 Nov 2018 14:35:22
Yeah. Just to a team like minny who have lots of veterans and not a lot of money, I don’t see his value. If you wanted to send him there, in that situation, I think he almost takes value away from Scherbak is what I was saying.

10.) 07 Nov 2018 23:18:28
Jim I agree with u it makes sense I still think he can give good service to a team in the nhl.

11.) 07 Nov 2018 23:44:24
Tbh I'm not really sure if scherbak has any value ATM if he doesn't soon start dominating some ahl games he could be the next waiver dump for the habs.

12.) 08 Nov 2018 03:00:49
@boomboom, probably to some teams, sure. He’s seen a lot in his days and could help a young team like what the leafs did bringing in hainsey/ Moore and Kinda Marleau although he’s in a bit different class at this point. Just the wild have Suter, parise, koivu, Staal, fehr, Hendricks etc. No need for a veteran like plek there.

Can max Domi hit 70 point this year?

BoomBoomGerffrion

1.) 09 Nov 2018 12:44:02
"He can, he will"
Well maybe, But maybe not. Fun to watch tho.

2.) 09 Nov 2018 18:32:35
2 weeks later and you’re still trying to criticize me for saying trade speculation is fun to watch on a trade speculation website lol

“If oilers didn’t lose as many games, they would have more points”.

3.) 09 Nov 2018 18:58:14
I hope so. he's been really good so far, it's a long season, but he has really been proving me wrong, wasnt all that happy when we traded for Galchenyuk. however, he has shown more passion and energy for the game than Chucky ever did.
Just hope he keeps it up.

4.) 10 Nov 2018 03:26:28
Yeah, he seems a lot more engaged than galchenyuk ever was for sure, which is what you want. If a player has the skill of a top 6 and the work ethic of a bottom 6 guy, that’s usually a good combination. I’ve never been a Domi fan, that’s well documented, but I can always appreciate a guy that was doubted and takes advantage of his change of scenery. Because usually after a change of scenery, if you don’t get better, it means the problem wasn’t the team you were on, but you. Like Duclair has got a change of scenery a few times now and never seems to grasp it. If Domi keeps this up, good for him.

Mtl: Alzner (30 retain), 1rd 2019

Edm: Puljujarvi

BoomBoomGerffrion

1.) 06 Nov 2018 22:22:00
You really want to trade our 19 first? Its way to early in the season, ya Habs have have a good start, but I'm still not sold on them being a playoff contender ( didn't say cup contender)
And still Oilers don't need / want Alzner.

2.) 06 Nov 2018 23:17:39
Agree Sosa. By Christmas you should have a better idea, but regardless I wouldn’t want to trade that pick because even if they’re fighting for a playoff spot come the new year, that pick should still be between 10 and 20 at worst.

3.) 07 Nov 2018 03:46:14
And even if they do fight for a playoff spot, it's just getting kind of old. , Habs have been a decent team, make the playoffs, out by round 2 at the best (usually) . but never real solid cup contenders.
I'm liking some of the new faces and young guys we have, but we still are closer to being a 1st overall draft pick contender to an actual cup contender. so keep the first rounder, truly build this team.

4.) 07 Nov 2018 05:24:15
Yeah. Some real good players can be grabbed in mid first round, and puli is not going to make you a contender or change how good of a pick that will be. Withoit Making this trade, they’re not winning the cup and they’re picking mid first at worst. With this trade they’re not winning the cup and they get to watch Edmonton get a good player with their 1st rounder. Makes no sense. Ppl reading into this Kotka-Puli connection too much. Kotka looks like he’s going to be a really good player and forge his own path whoever he plays with. I don’t know why habs fans keep bringing up the idea of burdening him with the task of trying to make puli the player he’s supposed to be too. Unnecessary for the kid.

5.) 07 Nov 2018 07:12:45
I 100% agree Jim.

6.) 07 Nov 2018 14:00:10
Oilers don't have the room to take on alzner. Plus boom boom thinks puljujarvi is the perfect linemate for kotkaniemi for some reason. julien isn't giving kotkaniemi ample playing time on a line with armia and lehkonen I'm sure he would just love to have two young inexperienced players on the same line. They might play 7 minutes a game.

7.) 07 Nov 2018 17:43:47
It just reminds me of 3 years of hearing people talking about habs getting yakupov to put back with galchenyuk to create this Russian (I’m aware galchenyuk is actually American) connection and it would automatically make both of them reach the potential they were drafted for because they lit up the OHL. Difference is, puli hasn’t lived up (yet, still early) and Kotka has barely had a chance. It’s hard enough to be that young of an nHL player, don’t anchor his success to someone else’s already.

8.) 07 Nov 2018 23:39:23
Yes jim that's correct.

9.) 08 Nov 2018 05:13:18
Oilers would just blow that pick anyway. It’s better off in Montreal’s hands.

06 Nov 2018 21:00:18

Ok seriously, I won't post a troll trade of Nylander but do you guys think Dubas is going to sign him if really nothing happens in the next few weeks. If so would this do it for mtl to acquire him because I really think mtl should do a test effort him if they're giving a fair value. Not everyday a 22 year old possible 80 point player is available.

Mtl: Fleury, Mete, Primeau, 2rd 2019, Evans

BoomBoomGerffrion

1.) 03 Nov 2018 04:00:26
Don’t see Habs being in on this, Leafs likely won’t move Nylander in. The division.

2.) 03 Nov 2018 18:36:54
May as well add the whole Habs prospect pool.

Purplefart your going to be hated on here with that attitude. And whe ure canucks are going to hit a wall ( wich every team does st one point) you're going to look like a fool. Be modest about what ure team as accomplish because as you said they are doing very good atm but does young kids will have to face adversity at one point.

Bergevjn tought he could still be a third line center this year or us but he saw that he was slower then are third line center (Peca) he realized it wasnt going to work. Plekanec said 5 times in the interview how thankful he was of Marc and the way he dealt with the situation so it can't be that bad imo even if he was faking it.
