Ott:Ryan,2rd2019,3rd2019

Mtl:Alzner

Mtl gets a pkywr that's actually in the nhl but he's a third line player at most . Ottawa gets 2 less years of contract at 3 million less

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 29 Apr 2019 23:53:17
Both players have the same term remaining alzner has 3 more years and Ryan has 3 more years.

2.) 30 Apr 2019 23:40:28
the sens send their 2nd and 3rd round picks to make this deal? get real!

05 Mar 2019 11:43:50
Mtl: Primeau, 5rd2019

NYI: Dal Colle

Not an offseason trade but we can't use him for playoffs.

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 05 Mar 2019 22:14:01
No thanks we will need a goalie before we need dal colle.

2.) 05 Mar 2019 23:22:07
If islanders really need a goalie then i'm sure they consider since Dal Colle sucks.

3.) 06 Mar 2019 00:38:42
No thnx from montreal lol.

4.) 06 Mar 2019 14:42:14
Dal Colle isn't looking like a bust. so is McCarron for Habs. flip those two guys. See if a change will help with their careers.

5.) 06 Mar 2019 21:22:46
Meant to say is looking.

6.) 06 Mar 2019 21:26:12
Dal colle looks good at time he's looking like Puljujarvi tbh.

7.) 07 Mar 2019 15:05:28
well puljujarvi is two years younger and has never played in north america before, dal colle sucks and clearly is a wasted draft pick at #5. when puljujarvi is 22 we will see where he's at and then we can compare.

8.) 08 Mar 2019 15:17:30
DalColle was developed too slowly. They should have played him AHL earlier instead of leaving him in junior so long.

9.) 09 Mar 2019 18:21:37
Zamboni they couldn’t he was ineligible to play in the ahl. He hadn’t reached the eligibility and when he did he was brought in.

10.) 10 Mar 2019 02:30:16
You got to think the potential is still there. He obviously has a lot of talent. Maybe Islanders can make a trade similar to the Strome deal?

Why was he ineligible for AHL CTC55?

11.) 10 Mar 2019 15:49:41
For a North American skater in the CHL cannot play in the AHL till he reaches a season in which he is 20 years of age or he has played 4 seasons in the CHL before hand.

12.) 10 Mar 2019 23:11:48
Interesting. I had no idea about that rule. Any idea why that is?

28 Feb 2019 09:12:00
Off season

Mtl: 3rd pick

Clb: Panarin

Mtl gets early conversation going to try and convince him to sign to a 9.9 million deal for 7 years

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 28 Feb 2019 15:00:03
well that will be a waste of a 3rd lol.

2.) 28 Feb 2019 15:00:50
and 9.9 lol man he's going to make like 5mil if he took that in montreal due to their taxes.

3.) 28 Feb 2019 19:01:20
He might sign in Florida for 9.9 mil it would have to be 12 mil in Montreal.

4.) 28 Feb 2019 20:34:14
I don’t think Paniran is worth more the Mark Stone. Extremely close but not more.

5.) 01 Mar 2019 15:16:39
Panarin wouldn’t have any interest in playing in Montreal.

There’s a lot of free agents available this year. It’s a buyer’s market. Prices might be pushed down just due to the overwhelming amount of high quality players available. It would be nice to see salaries come back to reality after being pushed up so much the last couple years.

Mtl:Romanov, 2rd2019

Edm: Pul

Is that better Mcjesus? Edm gets a good prospect and and second rd pick for Pul. Remember that Yakupov had actually 1 good season in the nhl his first one he had 27 points in 40 something game and he still only got a 3rd pick. Pul has done nothing in the nhl and actually his offensive stats are getting worst every year since he's been in

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 25 Feb 2019 00:11:40
No lol he has 4 points in the KHL. I’d rather keep pool and hope he develops more. If Puljujarvi is so bad why do you want him so badly?

2.) 25 Feb 2019 00:27:35
I don’t know what Puljarvi is worth, but what I do know is that his value is dropping rapidly daily. We would be best trading him ASAP before he isn’t worth anything. By this time next year we won’t get so much as a used jock for him.

3.) 25 Feb 2019 01:17:59
Dont trade Romanov.

4.) 25 Feb 2019 15:05:41
Bad for Habs. Romanov > Pul for our needs.

5.) 25 Feb 2019 23:26:42
My mistake Yakupov had 31 point in 48 games as a rookie wich is actually really good.

6.) 25 Feb 2019 23:57:57
I never said he was so bad, I'm looking at the numbers in the nhl that's what matters no? Even for a 20 year old when you drafted 4th overall your nhl numbers in the next few year do matter. But eh if you want a Yakupov type return in 2 years be my guess.

7.) 26 Feb 2019 00:00:32
Zamboni I agree with you, what's missing un that offer for Oilers to bite?

8.) 26 Feb 2019 00:10:33
@Mcjesus, ya no worries Edm should keep him and hope he develops more like they did with Nail Yakupov.

9.) 28 Feb 2019 09:06:36
Hell no romanov is our top defenceman prospect he dominated the WJC ended up top defancemen at 18. Romanov>Bouchard.

24 Feb 2019 20:31:40
Mtl: Brook,Hudon, 2rd2019

Edm: Puljujarvi

Before Edmonton gets a Yakupov type return( 3rd pick and C prospect) for Pulujarvi they should take the best offer they can get while he's 20 and still has that 4th overall prestige. This I'm okay I'm okay with offering for him.

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 24 Feb 2019 20:57:37
Well you can offer that and have fun getting rejected.

2.) 24 Feb 2019 23:48:58
Mcjesus I'm sorry but Pul is not getting a first and top prospect like you think. And whae tuat a bad trade? They get a good D prospect and solid pick plus a add in in Hudon who had 30 points last year.

3.) 25 Feb 2019 01:29:13
Take brook out and I might do it. Don't really want to give up one of the top dmen in junior hockey for a question mark. That package could have got us brandon montour.

The Galchenyuk trade is looking like a steal from mtl now eh? 70 points this year is amazing for him. Chuck hasn't hit 40 yet although he missed a couple games

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 01 Apr 2019 03:31:15
Looked like steal all year to me. I liked it when the trade happened and I like it even more now.

2.) 01 Apr 2019 11:30:55
BS Habby you went happy when the trade happen. Trading a 3rd overall pick who had 30 goals for a guy who only scored 5 normal goals last year. No way you were happy it was a straight up deal don't kid yourself.

3.) 01 Apr 2019 12:17:18
Your not fooling anyone Habby. On paper the trade looked terrible for mtl, nobody could of known Domi would of fit in so great so quickly in mtl and that Chuck would of missed games and not be that great. don't kid yourself.

4.) 01 apr 2019 16:09:52
actually i had quite a few arguments on here about how i liked the trade at the time. maybe you don't remember or maybe you had your head up your a$$ like usual.

5.) 01 Apr 2019 16:11:27
And just in case it comes up I also said at the time that I liked the pacioretty trade and that Tatar would easily replace paciorettys production from the year before.

6.) 01 Apr 2019 16:17:20
Also actually it was quite easy to see a few reasons why domi had the potential to be much better then galchenyuk. Two big reasons were work ethic and skating ability. Now I admit I thought galchenyuk who we knew would get the chance to play with Clayton Keller would probably get more goals then domi but I was confident that domi would get more points and play a much better overall game.

7.) 01 Apr 2019 20:50:30
I think statistically speaking at the time of the trade it looked to be pretty clearly in Arizona’s favour. But given that there was a lot of chatter about Galchenyuk having a problem riding the white horse it was probably a good move regardless. Don’t want that kind of an influence around impressionable youngsters. And Domi’s emergence is obviously the icing on the cake for Montreal.

8.) 01 Apr 2019 21:13:48
Yes unsportsmanlike that was another reason at the time. management was sick of giving galchenyuk chances and he just kept being a disappointment. Also at the time it had to cross a lot of people's mind that domi might thrive in an actual hockey city.

9.) 07 Apr 2019 13:13:46
As long as you believe your Bs Habby that's all that matters.

10.) 07 Apr 2019 15:11:31
If that's the case boom boom why are you so concerned about it? I feel what's going on here is you have trouble distinguishing the difference between fact and bs. Which myself along with many others here knew all along.

Mtl signs Gardiner to a 6 year 38 million contract in the offseason. They also trade Alzner to coyotes with a 2019 2rdoick and Cale Fleury abd Charles Hudon

BoomBooomGeoffrion

1.) 28 Feb 2019 17:15:18
More then I'd like to pay for gardener and I wouldn't give up a 2nd and fleury just to get rid of Alzner.

2.) 28 Feb 2019 20:22:13
If there was not buyer beware on Gardiner already this offseason (there should be, given what he will likely end up getting paid), this back spasm stuff should be a pretty significant red flag. I think whoever signs him will have buyer's remorse, unless he ends up signing for way less than what I think he will (I think the 6 year $38 mln suggested by Boom Boom is in the ballpark for sure) .

I'd rather keep Danault and Weber. 50 points center for less then 4 million and only 26 years old is very valuable.
