Vancouver - Edler
Toronto - Nylander

That is if edler is willing to waive his ntc.

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 11 Oct 2018 05:51:03
If the GM of Toronto do that, i am affraid for him lol

Edler 32 years olds. Slow decline.
Nylander 22 years olds. Rised.

That is the key.
Edler + 1st pick and this trade can be refussed by Toronto.

Edler still one good defenman but 5myear + 32 years old can't value one rising Young player like Nylander.

Edler vs late 1st pick + 1 prospect is fair.

Frank.

2.) 12 Oct 2018 02:53:07
No way leafs consider this.

24 Sep 2018 18:03:46
Tor w. Nylander

Van. C. Tanev + B. Sutter.

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 24 Sep 2018 18:17:56
More like

Tor nylander

Canucks virtanen tanev.

2.) 24 Sep 2018 18:30:10
Tanev is the type of Dman that we could use but value wise doesn’t come close to Nylander. And leafs with tavares at $11 mill, Matthews will be the same or more and Kadri at $4.5 we couldn’t have $4.3mill in a fourth line centre for 3 more years. Value isn’t there and neither is cap space or player need.

3.) 24 Sep 2018 20:43:19
Lol were trying to save money by tradibg Nylander not taking on dead weight Sutter.

4.) 25 Sep 2018 01:31:20
Lol. Toronto laughs at both the above proposals.

5.) 25 Sep 2018 15:33:06
I agree with Jim Benning and Unbiased Jim's feedback. Makes no sense for toronto to take on that much salary with contract re-ups coming up for the big boys. maybe replace sutter with virtanen and 2nd or 3rd.

Vancouver trades:
Loui Eriksson + Ben Hutton

Oilers trade:
Milan lucic + 2nd 2019 pick.

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 15 Aug 2018 05:08:03
Lucic will bounce back and that’s not a good trade for oil imo maybe if Stretcher or a rhd was involved maybe.

2.) 15 Aug 2018 19:42:05
If you look at the contract of Eriksson and lucic... Eriksson base salary for this year is 5 million..next 2 years is 4 million. Each year the base salary is 1 million with exception to the last year the rest of the $$ is in signing bonuses. Lucic on the other hand his base salary is 3+ million... so that would come out of the salary cap... this would be fair... and sekera is out for the year... Hutton needs a change of scenery... one year left on a contract...it could work out, it might not. But if they don't like him... don't sign him again.

This is a win win win for both sides

3.) 15 Aug 2018 20:30:26
All the money comes out of salary cap lol doesn’t matter if it’s base salary or signing bonus. Even a front loaded salary means nothing, hence AAV (Average Anual Value) total cap hit of both is $6 mill. Salary structure has zero impact on the cap. Only on the owners pocket.

Van - Sutter

L. A. - 2nd round pick 2019.

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 27 Jul 2018 00:48:38
Sutter is a cap dump.

29 Jun 2018 13:36:29
To Toronto
Tanev

To vancouver
Nathan hortons contract + Lijegren

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 29 Jun 2018 14:31:08
What's the point of including Horton's contract? I don't get it.

2.) 29 Jun 2018 15:19:04
Still hoping tavares signs here which means we need players like dermott, liljegren and (down the road) Sandin on ELCs to patch up our defense. Trading our best or second best chance at developing our own really good cheaper Dman for a guy that makes 4 times as much just to rid ourselves of a contract that effects the team in no way is dumb.

3.) 29 Jun 2018 15:55:16
Horton’s contract still goes against the leafs cap hit during the offseason until September when he is LTIR eligible also his contract is uninsured so you’d have to pay the actual salary.

4.) 29 Jun 2018 18:10:22
Yeah but leafs don’t care about the cash payout to players, only cap hit. So they would rather pay millions to a retired player on an uninsured contract than lose a kid that could be a big part of their future. Things like this is the only money advantage leafs have anymore with a hard Cap in place. So they’re happy to use that advantage. Being the richest, or one of, has few bonuses on the ice anymore but this is definitely one of them.

5.) 29 Jun 2018 18:57:28
Correct me if I’m wrong but you need to be under the cap before you can put guys on LTIR before the start of the season.

6.) 29 Jun 2018 20:15:24
You’re correct Ebsoultely and I wasn’t defending the trade or suggesting they need to trade Horton @unbiased Jim.

7.) 29 Jun 2018 20:27:59
Yeah, they can just be creative as to who starts the season on the roster and not to make it all work. They have 26 mill this year anyway. Even if JT signs and then fill a cpl holes, they should be good. But you are correct about in certain situations, it could still mess with your plan a bit.

I wouldn't be surprised if a 3 way deal happened with Erik Karlsson with Tampa and vancouver. I hope vancouver doesn't end up with Karlsson. just prospects and picks.

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 06 Jul 2018 22:53:56
The third team not names Ottawa or Tampa would just be retaining some of a players contract and receiving picks for that.

Like Karlsson traded to NYR, NYR retaining money and trading him to Tampa. For example. Something around that idea.
The third team who just retains money on a contract will reciece picks for that. That's all.

I would love to see the canucks pick up evander kane John Tavares and Jordan Nolan off of UFA

BumbleBeeTuna18

1.) 10 Apr 2018 17:50:48
Canucks have 3 or 4 really good young pieces in boeser, horvat, Petterson and maybe Juolevi. Finally have the sedins moving on to pass the torch to the next core, stick to the plan and keep building it properly. As a fan of the leafs, I watched them try to short cut every time they thought they had a half decent foundation and it always resulted in mediocrity and change of philosophy yet again. For the first time in as long as I can remember it looks bright for a long time. And with those young guys, not a chance I’d sign Kane long term. A distraction that’s not needed, especially back home where he has all his friends he grew up with to distract him and party and find trouble.

2.) 10 Apr 2018 18:55:50
Lol i knew him all his friend are hood rats he would get into more partying.

3.) 11 Apr 2018 11:33:00
Two sought-after UFA’s and.

Jordan Nolan?

Really? Why?

4.) 12 Apr 2018 17:46:19
Nolan because dorsett isn't playing anymore. IMO he was canucks toughness...

5.) 13 Apr 2018 03:35:01
You could work out a deal with the leafs around Matt Martin and Brock Boeser if you need toughness over skill.

6.) 19 Apr 2018 23:15:17
Typical sarcastic leafs fan.
