If the Avs fall out of the playoff race

Mon - Galchenyuk, Bealieu

Col - Duchene.

CommonSense67

1.) 16 Feb 2016 04:16:30
Beaulieu.

2.) 16 Feb 2016 06:41:43
Your crazy duchene is worth more than that. I don't see why col would trade him he is only one really putting up points.

3.) 16 Feb 2016 15:27:22
Both teams need a shake up, chucky still has tons of potential and is controllable for longer and is cheaper. Which makes them close I'm value, but Montreal adds a good young dman with lots of potential too.

4.) 16 Feb 2016 16:51:23
Yeah not it doesn't. Duchene has done stuff in his career.

Winnipeg - Trouba, Ladd

New York Islanders - Hamonic, Ho sang.

CommonSense67

1.) 09 Feb 2016 04:47:46
Isles add.

2.) 09 Feb 2016 06:14:52
Ho
sang stinks NYI add big time.

If the habs have a top 7 pick and Edmonton is top 3

Oilers - 1st round pick

Habs - 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, Emelin. Possibly Juulsen if the second rounder isn't enough.

CommonSense67

1.) 28 Jan 2016 19:19:09
Wouldn't make much sense for Edmonton IMO.

2.) 28 Jan 2016 19:34:58
How so? They get a top four D, only move down a couple spots to draft another D, and could possibly get another higher prospect D.

3.) 28 Jan 2016 19:48:00
You think Edmonton wants Emelin? No obviously not. He's no better than Ferrance.

4.) 28 Jan 2016 20:10:06
He's a lot better than Ference. Anyway... ya.. I don't see why Edmonton would do this... and maybe they would rather trade that pick away? Maybe that would get em someone like a Shattenkirk. ? Or something on that line.. the top 3 will be able to get them IMO. A pretty good return that can help them now.... I've always liked Emelin , for his physical play, but I know he is not the answer in Edmonton.

5.) 28 Jan 2016 20:43:10
Emelin isn't better than Ferrance? Hahahhahaha. And clearly you guys are missing the fact of a top seven pick going back. So you guys think something like Laine for Chychrun, Emelin and Jullsen is crazy? Lol.

6.) 28 Jan 2016 21:25:55
I. think. Edmonton. would. accept. because. they. could. draft. a. defender.

7.) 28 Jan 2016 21:26:12
Ok. So who is going to be any kind of a physical presence on the Habs? And don't ya think if Edmonton is going to trade the 3rd , its for help now. Jullsen is a few year away, jus hope he isn't the next David Wilkie. Emelin isn't the guy , he's a 4 or5 physical dman.. maybe a package with Islanders for Haminoc and others. And I never said I wouldn't do it. But Edmonton isn't gonna.. and ya.. I still think Emelin is better than Ference.. 6 or 7 years ago.. different story

8.) 28 Jan 2016 22:11:23
not enough to jump into the top 3.

9.) 28 Jan 2016 23:11:30
Matthews/ puljjarvi/ tcachuk for a much lesser prospect a third pair defensman and an ok pick. Future stud. No way edm does it.

10.) 28 Jan 2016 23:37:34
No one is saying value is bad. But a top 3 pick could land a defense that can help Edmonton now which is what they need.

11.) 29 Jan 2016 00:24:29
The top seven is stacked in the draft. And Laine is a head of Tkachuk btw. So the difference between 7 and 3, or 6 and 2 isn't much. Chychrun and Juolevi future top pairing guys, Emelin is a sold second pairing guy and Juulsen will eventually be a second or top. This completely revamps their D going forward. I'm not saying this is believable but it's definitely fair.

12.) 29 Jan 2016 01:04:37
Still terrible I'd go for OEL.

13.) 29 Jan 2016 02:58:49
If Oilers pick is 3-5, they can likely get Jakob Chychrun. Even tho Oilers need immediate help, doing that makes more sense than dropping in the draft order to get Emelin. No way is Emelin worth dropping in the draft order for.

Alternatively -- and what makes more sense for Edm -- using the pick and maybe other picks/ players/ prospects to try and get a top-2 D from another team.

14.) 29 Jan 2016 03:59:08
So Chirp, you'd take Chychrun over Juolevi, Emelin and Juulsen? Lol.

15.) 29 Jan 2016 04:52:39
I would, yeah. Chychrun looks like a top-2 D. Joulevi could be, but he's much less of a lock IMO. So if you pass up Chychrun and make this trade, you have 3 bottom-4 dmen instead. Oilers have enough bottom-4 dmen as it is, they don't need more of them. It's the wrong move for the Oilers.

16.) 29 Jan 2016 17:26:12
Strait up deal with Edmonton.

To Edmonton PK Subban
To Montreal: 1st round pick and 1 forward TBD

Then,

If Byfuglien is available July 1st, Montreal signs him 4 years 28 million.

17.) 29 Jan 2016 17:32:22
Juolevi actually might be better than Chychrun after seeing him at the world juniors, so I don't agree with you.

Nurse - Klefbom
Juolevi - Emelin
Sekera - Juulsen/ Davidson looks better than

Klefbom - Chychrun
Sekera - Nurse
Davidson -?

18.) 29 Jan 2016 17:46:01
Oh, ok, good, we'll lay the Oilers future on your opinion of a couple games at a tournament.

Seriously? No one else seems to agree with you but sure, that's just super duper. Thanks for your "insight" (? )

As for your question mark in the Oilers 2nd lineup there: yeah, I'm sure without making that trade there would be absolute panic resonating through the streets of edmonton. "We didn't make a 3-for-1 trade for prospects! How will we ever fill a bottom-2 dman position?! " 😩

I'd rather have the second lineup. Big time.
Quality over quantity.

19.) 29 Jan 2016 18:15:42
Well I'd take a solid six which would be better short term and just as good long term than the solid four that's only long term. But that's just me lol.

20.) 29 Jan 2016 18:19:37
Also if they have the second pick it could be them trading down and taking Chychrun.

21.) 29 Jan 2016 18:19:54
Big time lol.

22.) 29 Jan 2016 21:31:01
Reinhart as well. Lol.

23.) 29 Jan 2016 22:53:30
Habs pass big time.

Calgary - Russell

Pittsburgh - Sprong.

CommonSense67

1.) 24 Jan 2016 16:55:07
With no 1st in possibly this year or next and a very thin prospect pool I doubt the Penguins move Sprong as he is one of their better prospects. Not that the values off Russel would be great with Pitts.

2.) 24 Jan 2016 17:30:01
Russel Is One Of The Best Defensemen in the League. no way.

3.) 24 Jan 2016 17:43:33
Sgc do you know anything about hockey?

4.) 24 Jan 2016 17:44:39
Best defenceman in the league @sgc? Then I guess Jiri Hudler is the best forward in the NHL eh?

5.) 24 Jan 2016 17:55:26
He Blocks Shots all the time.

When i Say one of the best defensemen in the league, i don't mean like doughty, Erik karlsson, Or Hedman.

I Think He's Pretty good.

Everybody is probably thinking that i mean one of the best players in the league, like top five.
Not top five players.

The Best Players in the league are probably like Stamkos, Kane, ovechkin, Crosby, And more, like Kopitar and seguin.

6.) 24 Jan 2016 18:01:14
Lol. Russell is barely in the top 5 on his own team.

7.) 24 Jan 2016 18:19:24
He is not one of the best dmen in the league. We all know what you meant. You are just wrong.

8.) 25 Jan 2016 18:21:14
Sprong was a steal for the pens last year in the 2nd round. he's going to be a legit sniper for them. No way pens trade him.

Not terrible.
Calgary seems pretty intent on extending Russell tho.

Nothing too crazy, but I think the habs would sign a big free agent if all this happened.

Brodin is better than Hamonic, so the isles would have to add.

Eller and one f their seconds might get minny's first rounder if they make the playoffs, but probably not that package.

Really isn't a sure thing yet. I know you leaf fans won't like this but there is still a chance he is a bit of a bust. And by bust I mean not a first pairing D. And the top three in this years draft are all can't miss all stars. So I'd say no from Edmonton. And yep is right, the leafs have zero grade A defenceman prospects.

I second that, who is the number one center in that deal? No one.

THEGR81 is right, the flames will have a top seven pick, which by the looks of it in this draft will be an absolute stud. They can control him for the next 7-8 years minimum. Bishop could go to free agency after one year with the flames. Unless they are making a major run next year this makes no sense for the flames.

I think Tampa would probably do Teravainen straight up for Drouin. People need to get past the fact that he was a third overall pick and realize his face value. And his face value is a good prospect with a high ceiling, but always has a low floor.

Bruins are trying to re-sign him, but he is also worth a late first rounder rather than a second and a third. Maybe two 2nd rounders, maybe. If they were shopping him that is.

We think Drouin is better than Scherbak, but may not actually be the case. But I do agree Tampa can get more. And with Carle's contract no way is he equal to Gilbert. Talent wise for sure, but Tampa would do that straight up in a heart beat.
