Terrible.

22 Oct 2018 07:24:29
EDM - Ryan Strome + 1st Rd Pick
MTL - Paul Byron

EDM - Milan Lucic + 5th Rd Pick
PIT - Carl Hagelin

Edmonton gets faster, pittsburgh gets tougher, montreal gets depth down the middle and a pick.

Nugent-Hopkins - McDavid - Rattie
Byron - Draisaitl - Puljujärvi
Hagelin - Cagguila - Yamamoto
Khaira - Brodziak - Kassian

And as a cool experiment it would be cool to see them try out a really speedy line

Carl Hagelin - Connor McDavid - Paul Byron

Ryan Strome and a 1st for Byron? Ok!

2.) 22 Oct 2018 15:10:48
Might as well make it a 4 way trade and throw in Seabrook and Loui Eriksson to Pittsburgh as well.

3.) 22 Oct 2018 19:03:47
That’s a tough choice, eh Sosa?! Haha.

4.) 22 Oct 2018 21:46:30
Was going to get greedy and say add Klefbom as well, but figured. jus take it and run lol.

Cal - TJ Brodie + 1st Rd Pick
Tor - William Nylander

Cal - Mark Jankowski
Ari - 2nd Rd Pick

What do you think?

Gaudreau - Monahan - Nylander
Tkachuk - Backlund - Lindholm
Frolik - Bennett - Neal
Hathaway - Ryan - Czarnik

Giordano - Valimaki
Hanifin - Hamonic
Andersson - Stone

Flames become a legit scoring threat and have the cap to sign Nylander long term 6M x 6yrs maybe 4 depends on what Nylander is asking. Nothing more than 6m for sure.

And heres some trades for next year.

Cal - Mark Giordano
Vgs - 1st Rd Pick + Shea Theodore

Cal - Michael Frolik
Ari - 3rd Rd Pick

Future Lines:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Nylander
Tkachuk - Backlund - Lindholm

Välimäki - Hamonic
Hanifin - Theodore
Andersson - Stone

Billy have u been living under a rock? If Nylander was only asking for 6 million he would of been signed already. He wants 8+ million wich is why he's not signed. At 6 million he would of been signed 2 months ago lol. Get the right info before posting nonsense.

2.) 19 Oct 2018 13:17:05
Lol BoomBoom. I was thinking the same thing. Where have you been the last few months.

3.) 19 Oct 2018 13:18:22
Lol. Vegas will laugh in your face.
You can't just always expect to dump players in Arizona.

4.) 19 Oct 2018 17:10:54
First of all as well stated Nylander won’t sign in Toronto for $6.5. He won’t sign anywhere else for less.

And Giordano NEXT YEAR for Shea Theodore and a 1st?! He’s goinn to be a year older yet again and Theodore should take another step forward by then while Gio takes a step thebother direction. Not taking a shot at gio, I love the way he plays, but it’s just nature, he’s long past his prime and Theodore hasn’t entered his yet. If you flipped it and made Calgary give the 1st with Gio, Vegas would say no unless flames fell apart and it was a very high pick.

5.) 19 Oct 2018 20:13:02
Brodie + 1st doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense for the Leafs either.

6.) 19 Oct 2018 21:42:20
They need a RHD.

18 Oct 2018 22:59:42
Cal - Valimaki + Jankowski + 1st Rd Pick
Tor - Nylander

Gaudreau - Monahan - Nylander
Tkachuk - Backlund - Lindholm
Frolik - Bennett - Neal
Czarnik - Ryan - Hathaway

Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin - Hamonic
Andersson - Stone

Franchaise Billy

1.) 18 Oct 2018 23:40:53
Can the Flamers afford to even add around $7M cap?
I think the Flames should deal Gio, Brodie or Hamonic and keep Hannifin and Valmaki. They are starting to get old with Gio, Brodie, Hamonic and Smith in net. Keep the youth.
I think Nylander would look damn good with them tho.

2.) 19 Oct 2018 01:13:20
I’d definitely do Nylander for Gio and 1st.

3.) 19 Oct 2018 04:11:58
Flames won’t be dealing their young defenders. They are looking great and their forward depth looks good too. Their goaltending looks shaky though.

4.) 19 Oct 2018 10:00:40
Very similar to the Brayden Schenn deal that landed Philly Frost and Farabee. I like this trade. It demonstrates very astute cap and asset management. That Valimaki kid is very highly rated. If Calgary doesn’t want to trade him, they also have Andersson, who would be another good choice. Jankowski hasn’t done much up to this point. Big kid that plays a strong game, inexpensive and controllable for a number of years still.

If Toronto doesn’t do this, it would only be because they are wanting someone more proven for that 1RHD spot. But it’s got to be close to what they can expect in terms of a package of prospects/ picks. May have to take a cap dump of some sort too as yup pointed out.

5.) 19 Oct 2018 12:13:14
Woah, jankowski scores nearly as much as nylander as a 3rd line as nylander scores playing with Mathews? Plus add a top prospect and a 1st? And then millions of cap space? Just horrible for the flames.

6.) 19 Oct 2018 22:55:22
Jankowski .34PPG Nylander .73PPG is not nearly as much shoots. I don’t know enough about Valimaki to have an opinion on the proposal but Nylander is much better than Jankowski at the moment.

7.) 20 Oct 2018 17:05:08
I hate the Flamers but really like Jankowski but also know Nylander is a lot better, lol, and it's not really close.
Janko is/ will be a solid third line center.

8.) 20 Oct 2018 17:29:21
"Scores" didn't say points, nylander 20 in 82 games, jankowski 17 in 72 games. 1 of these guys had less time on the ice, guess which one, 13:21 to 16:41.

9.) 21 Oct 2018 00:45:55
In 400 mins+ playing with Mathews, instead of bennet and Hathaway, safe to assume jankowski could at least match nylanders numbers, he's a few years older yes, nylander has a lot more room to grow but players sometimes regress.

Commenting on the Hanifin to Leafs post

(Calgary Flames)
• (LD) Noah Hanifin
• (C) Mark Jankowski
(Toronto Maple Leafs)
• (C) William Nylander
• (LD) Jake Gardiner

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Nylander - Neal
Bennett - Backlund - Frolik
Czarnik - Ryan - Brouwer

Giordano - Brodie
Gardiner - Hamonic
Andersson - Stone

Franchaise Billy

1.) 28 Jul 2018 01:12:12
Why would CGY acquire Hanifin just to trade him a couple months later?

2.) 28 Jul 2018 15:29:31
Flames won’t be flipping him lol value wise it’s not terrible. But he’s a LD. I’m not completely against getting a lefty because any upgrade is good. But I wouldn’t make it a trade involving Nylander unless it exactly filled our need. (Top RHD)

3.) 02 Aug 2018 16:00:01
is this post serious?

jankowski and hanifin for Nylander AND gardiner?

i wouldn't trade nylander for hanafin+jankoski much less adding gardiner.

Also not moving nylander unless its for a RHD of similar age and potential. which hanafin is not.

08 Jul 2018 21:12:53
I don't see how Matthews gets 11.5 or 10.5 or anywhere close to that considering Tavares' point production is way better and he's signed at 11. I don't think he gets that much i'd say

Nylander 6M x 8YR
Marner 6M x 8YR
Matthews 8M x 8YR

Franchaise Billy

1.) 08 Jul 2018 21:42:01
Not a chance. Matthews will ask for at least 10 mil per. if he doesn't the leafs will have another problem. Cause the only reason he doesn't ask and doesn't get. At least 10 mil per is if he completely craps to bed this season.

2.) 08 Jul 2018 21:44:43
And eventhough it's a very small sample size Mathews production is right up there with tavares even better in some categories.

3.) 08 Jul 2018 21:51:49
Matthews is younger and hasn't entered his prime. And will be based both on his point production/ skill and what he projects to turn into as the #1 c ahead of tavares.

4.) 08 Jul 2018 22:27:59
Lol no on Matthews. It’s league comparisons that matter. Mcdavid got 12.5 and jack Eichel got 10. He will get between them. 8x8 is what pacioretty has asked for, 8x8 is what Phil kessel got 4 years ago, 8x8 is not even close.

And no on marner too. I would be happy as hell of Matthews took 10.5 and marner took 7.5.

5.) 08 Jul 2018 23:48:35
I hope you’re right but I don’t think so. Matthews has 132 pts in 144 games for a .92 PPG. Tavares has 150 pts in 159 games the last 2 seasons for a .94 PPG. I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from that Tavares’ point production is way better.

6.) 09 Jul 2018 00:42:26
if he doesn't put up a ppg he won't get tavares money, same for marner.

nylander should get a bridge deal, unless they sign him long term for 6mish.

7.) 09 Jul 2018 02:37:06
Well Mathews is 20 was a PPG last season and in his rookie season he beat Tavares season high goal total. Also he is much better defensively according to obscure personal visual observational comparisons and professionally used advanced statistics. He’s worth atleast Tavares he brought the leafs farther then Tavares brought the Islanders in 2 seasons. If E. Kane and JVR are worth 7 mil Marner is definitely worth more.

But I hope you’re right.

8.) 09 Jul 2018 06:32:59
I think the fact that Matthews, Nylander and Marner are rfas might have a small factor into their new deals. Also Mcdavid and eichel are being paid to be the face of the franchise and to lead them to a better future, Mathews, Marner and Nylander don’t have to be the face of the franchise, I think they’ll just play hockey, produce well and let Tavares take the spotlight for at least this upcoming season, my gut feeling is that because both Marner and Matthews made an appearance to the Tavares pitch, they are willing to take a small discount but for less years so when the cal rises they then can get paid big time and long term, my guess is Matthews 9 million for 5 years, Marner 6.5 for 5 years and Nylander is a wild card so maybe he sign for a extra years cause he’s been there the longest but he gets paid his worth at 6.25 million which is pastrnk money.

9.) 09 Jul 2018 18:36:27
@A099 the leafs are probably going to pay Mathews to be the “LONG TERM” face of the franchise. They’ll definitely look to sign him and probably Marner long term.

10.) 09 Jul 2018 22:59:26
You’re probably right but they do have 15+ years left to play in this league so honestly a 5 year dea right now does make some sense as they are looking to be a contender for Atleast the next 6-8 years so why not take a little less years maybe add a couple free agents with the money saved to fill out they’re weaknesses and in 5 years when they hoekfully win a cup or cap is above 100 million, then they sign long term 8 year deals that’ll run till they’re 33-34 years old.

11.) 10 Jul 2018 16:50:55
No one knows how long their career is going to be. These guys want the term for security more often than not. They want to make as much as they can, when they can because injuries Do happen, especially with the info out on concussions these days. Imagine if Nathan Horton or David Clarkson didn’t cash in for all they could get when given the opportunity. They’re retirement and families security in the future would look a lot different.

04 Jul 2018 12:58:42
Flames look weak so i tweaked their roster a bit.

To Flames
• (2019) 6th-Round Pick
To Coyotes
• (RW) Troy Brouwer
• (D) Oliver Kylington
• (2019) 3rd-Round Pick

To Flames
• (2019) 3rd-Round Pick
To Canadiens
• (D) Michael Stone

Gaudreau - Monahan - Neal
Tkachuk - Jankowski - Lindholm
Bennett - Backlund - Frolik
Czarnik - Ryan - Quine

Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin - Hamonic
Andersson - Healey

(Bennett, Neal, Tkachuk, Quine, Hamonic, Healey) grit players who also have skill.

Franchaise Billy

04 Jul 2018 12:16:11
The leafs are going to be super good with

Tavares - Marner
Matthews - Nylander

Jeez, they still need defence though. Without touching those 4, what are good options?

Jason Demers, Brandon Montour, Cody Ceci, Jonas Brodin, Travis Hamonic, Chris Tanev?

Franchaise Billy

1.) 04 Jul 2018 12:28:45
Out of those 6 Tanev is probably the best fit but Brodin is the best player.

03 Jul 2018 12:55:15
How well do you guys think calgary will do this season?

With acquiring James Neal, Elias Lindholm, Noah Hanifin, Austin Czarnik, Derek Ryan etc.

With their lineup looking like this

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - James Neal
Matthew Tkachuk - Mikael Backlund - Elias Lindholm
Sam Bennett - Mark Jankowski - Michael Frolik
Austin Czarnik - Derek Ryan - Troy Brouwer

Mark Giordano - TJ Brodie
Noah Hanifin - Travis Hamonic
Rasmus Andersson - Michael Stone

Mike Smith
David Rittich / Jon Gillies

Franchaise Billy

1.) 03 Jul 2018 15:51:17
I hear Neal might play on a wing with Bennett or Jankowski to spread out offense and get him away from top checking. Either way, I think they’re like a lot of teams, look good on paper but have to prove a lot. Also I think (like almost every team) their season hinges on goaltending. And smith was up and down last year and isn’t getting any younger.

2.) 03 Jul 2018 19:23:21
Smith stood on his head but hopefully that changes with a new coaching system. I think they will be a threat this year, same with the leafs!!! I think the Leafs and Flames will be the 2 canadian teams to make it the farthest idk about the peg tho

3.) 03 Jul 2018 21:10:43
It's a solid line up.

So
Flames get - James Reimer, Nick Bjugstad
Panthers get - Mats Zucarello, Sam Bennett, Rangers 1st
Rangers get - Troy Brouwer, Michael Frolik, Keith Yandle, flames 2nd and 3rd

Rangers are rebuilding, flames get fleeced, florida rips off both teams lol. Dumb, flames are good down the middle and at goal aswell.
