Sportsnet reporting Blues in serious discussions with Sens for one of either Brassard/Hoffman.Names heading other way include Sobotka, Berglund, Fabbri.
Not sure how this helps Sens. They don't get better or younger, and the only interesting piece is Fabbri who has serious knee issues.

With that in mind, Blues revise offer:

Brassard to StL
Fabbri, Berglund, Kyrou to OTT

or

Hoffman to StL
Fabbri, Kyrou, Thompson.

Providing Fabbri knee checks out.
That being said, I don't trade Hoffman. He and Duchene starting to gel.

1.) 17 Feb 2018 12:38:22
Wow those are terrible for St. Louis. Absolutely awful. Way too much.

2.) 17 Feb 2018 12:57:16
St. Louis has stated kyrou is not being traded.

Also that is over valuing your players.

Brassard can fetch a 1st or a 2nd and prospect.

Hoffman a 2nd.

3.) 17 Feb 2018 13:18:57
In what world is Hoff worth just a second. he's worth at least a first and B+ prospect.

4.) 17 Feb 2018 15:22:32
Yeah hoffman is an elite sniper that can fetch a lot more than a late 1st from st louis. I'd even say a 1st and a good prospect for Hoffman is going to be tough for St Louis to convince Ottawa since he has built a lot of chemistry with duchene.

5.) 17 Feb 2018 15:55:16
Your right I undervalued Hoffman. He is a sniper and has speed. I just don't see anyone trading there 1st as this draft is very deep.

6.) 17 Feb 2018 16:35:04
Lol. STL isn't trading all 3 of those pieces t
For those guys. Dream on.

7.) 17 Feb 2018 21:32:53
Lmao Hoffman for a 2nd yikes.

14 Feb 2018 10:31:43
So if Brassard is being shipped, and Pittsburgh a likely destination

OTT: Brassard, Condon
PIT: Jarry, 2nd 2018, Hagelin,2nd 2019

Sens address goaltending issue, send Condon back, get additional second for taking the Hagelin contract.

Greg345

1.) 14 Feb 2018 13:40:42
I like this one, not bad. PIT might need to add a little though if they want to dump Hagelin's contract.

2.) 14 Feb 2018 18:43:17
I can see this without the 2018 2nd though.

12 Feb 2018 13:31:13
OTT: Hoffman
Columbus: Milano, Gabe Carlsson

OTT: Ceci
TB: Gourde, 2nd

OTT: Phaneuf @ 50%, Smith, 1st
LA: Ladue, Vilardi, 1st

OTT: Thompson
ANA: 4th

OTT: Oduja
TOR: 4th

Ryan Duchene Stone
Dzingel Brassard Domenico
Pyatt Pageau Milano
Gourde White Paajarvi

Karlsson Chabot
Ladue Wideman
Carlsson Boro

Claesson, Harpur depth
Chlapik, Vilardi on way

Vast improvement in bottom six.

Greg345

1.) 12 Feb 2018 16:34:16
Gourde has 20 goals this year. Every line he plays on scores. I wouldn't trade him for Ceci let alone with a secons but that's because i don't think Ceci is good at all. Gourde would not be on the 4th line on a team like that.

2.) 12 Feb 2018 18:56:24
Phaneuf doesn’t get you Vilardi alone lmao.

3.) 13 Feb 2018 04:36:51
would the 1st rounds in the la trade not cancel eachother out, if not ottawas be worth more?

4.) 13 Feb 2018 05:33:47
Pkane, ottawas pick will likely be top 5 or 6. los angeles pick likely 24-31 somewhere in there. that would be an immediate deal breaker for the sens imo.

5.) 13 Feb 2018 08:59:45
Haven't the Sens already traded their 1st for Duchene?

6.) 13 Feb 2018 09:33:19
Haha nice try with the Gourde trade. Not even straight up.

7.) 13 Feb 2018 16:13:51
Toronto doesn't want oduja he's to slow. Maybe 4 yeara ago.

8.) 13 Feb 2018 21:11:38
Rednick, its top 10 protected. but still, i don't think ottawa is in any place to be flaunting that pick around in trade proposals.

9.) 14 Feb 2018 10:38:37
Last 2 yes
First 3 no

Phaneuf 1 is a joke for ottawa. firstly Phaneuf will be gone but without retention.
Secondly ottawa will not trade their pick.

10.) 14 Feb 2018 17:28:19
Newsflash ram! Phaneuf was traded last night! We retained 25%.

11.) 16 Feb 2018 21:34:11
Yeah we did but that's because Dorian has no idea what he's doing. any other gm could get that deal done without retention. Dorian is a fool.

Phi gets Bobby Ryan, Zack Smith
Ott gets Ryan O'Reilly, Jordan Weal
Buf gets Travis Sandheim, Phi 2nd

Ryan will be inspired in Philly, provide extra scoring for playoff push. Smith provides playoff grit.. Ottawa reunites Duchene and O'Reilly who were at one time dynamic in Colorado. At the very least they will be very strong on faceoffs to help boost their sad puck control. Buf gets high end D prospect and a pick and rids themselves of long expensive contract from previous management. Ottawa future plans not affected much as they replace Ryan's contract with O'Reilly's.

Greg345

1.) 25 Jan 2018 15:56:06
So Philadelphia trades Weal (6 G, 8 A in 42 GP $1.75MM until 2019), Sanheim, and a 2nd for Bobby Ryan (6 G, 13 A in 36 GP $7.25MM until 2022)?

Ryan's contract is pure cancer and he leaves a lot to be desired as a player - inconsistent, injury prone, lacking in intensity. The Senators are stuck with Ryan for a long, long time.

2.) 25 Jan 2018 17:28:06
Lolllllll Ottawa literally robs everyone.

3.) 25 Jan 2018 18:13:46
And buffalo trades oreilly for Sanheim and a 2nd?! Ok.

4.) 25 Jan 2018 21:44:12
Philly gets Zack Smith too.

5.) 25 Jan 2018 21:45:43
I'd say weal goes to buffalo instead with a 3rd and that 2nd goes to ottawa, the rest sounds good though.

Easy E I honestly think you need to do some research before commenting from now on.

Bobby Ryan -
You say injury prone - lately yes

Lacking intensity - sometimes yes sometimes no he's like kovalev

Inconsistent - not even close, outside of last season when he was plagued by health issues and injuries he has been a 60 point per year player and will be again when he gets by his soft hands.

6.) 25 Jan 2018 22:24:12
NBR, Ryan sucks. Get over it.

7.) 30 Jan 2018 10:43:55
TSS, you know Ryan does NOT suck. If he sucks then so do guys like toews Duchene turris marner voracek Schwartz etc as his stat totals are in the same ball park so you tell me. do they all suck to?

24 Jan 2018 11:14:40
OTT: Condon, Pageau, 3rd
MTL: Lindgren, Juulsen/Poehling

Greg345

1.) 24 Jan 2018 12:18:18
If I'm MB I'm keeping Phoeing until e develops. He's going to be a real center either its number one or number 2. How bout Julsen for pageau.

2.) 24 Jan 2018 14:43:49
No from montreal they need a rebuild.

3.) 24 Jan 2018 15:43:29
You don't rebuild when you just signed a goalie to 8 years $10.5M.

4.) 24 Jan 2018 18:34:00
well we aren't trading poehling that's for sure he was the youngest player in the ncaa and one of the youngest player drafted last year and he reached his points total from last year in less than half the games and he is amazing defensively why on earth would we trade him. On top lindgren is ready to be a starter and juulsen ready for the nhl this makes absolutely no sense.

5.) 24 Jan 2018 21:25:18
Mtl4life is right that it makes no sense. They just get older and more expensive. But that seems fit Bergevins plan for the future lol.

New Jersey: Erik Karlsson, Bobby Ryan @ 50%
Ottawa: Pavel Zacha, Jesper Bratt, Michael McLeod, 2018 1st, 2019 1st

Greg345

1.) 22 Feb 2018 01:30:25
This is really bad for NJ.

Bobby ryan has negative value.

You would be lucky to get the following with 50% retention on ryan

1st 2018
McLeod
2nd rnd pick.

2.) 22 Feb 2018 03:15:07
No from Jesery apparently Karls0m is worth Bear and a second.

3.) 22 Feb 2018 04:03:24
Colt65 your accesentire of this trade is just as bad as poster.
Karlson is worth a 1st 2018 top prospect good nhl player and more but when you add Bobby ryan then you need to subtract from what your giving.

4.) 22 Feb 2018 05:48:07
@colt, you are delusional like they say and I’ll tell you why: he’s only worth a B prospect and a 2nd if he goes to Edmonton. The same logic doesn’t apply to other teams or fan bases. Come on man, try to keep up.

15 Jan 2018 00:52:16
Ott: Hoffman, Ceci
LA: Gaborik, Clague, Iafallo, 2nd (1st if LA makes it to West Conf. Final).

LA Rosa Gaborik contract, gets Hoffman who could play with Carter when he returns. Ottawa gets rid of the bad contract they will give Ceci before they have a chance to offer it, get a great prospect and someone who may chip in more in bottom 6. And maybe Gaborik has a little gas left in tank.

Greg345

1.) 16 Jan 2018 02:39:36
Hey Greg I'm going to go on a limb and say that you're a LA fans right?

The Canucks have dealt 4 defensemen. Big no from Pit. They want centres.

Just not sure where Hudon would slot in and if he is the type of player that would have as much impact in a western Conference playoff series.

Sam Steel has proved nothing at the NHL level. Patches consistently 25-30 goal guy. Anaheim needs to sweeten the pot.

This might work on deadline day if Minny knows they won't be invited to the dance.

Curtis Lazar got a 2nd, so anything is possible.
