Why would a team want to pick up 7.6m in cap hit for the next 3 years for these two guys.
Dallas would be adding at best a number 4 dman, but likely a number 5.
And they also add a third line centre. Those two positions shouldn't cost you 7.6m combined
So ottawa would then have 9 d men and one less prospect and pick. Doesn't make any sense
Wouldn't trade Ceci and a first for a guy that ottawa can't afford now and can't afford in the future for his next contract
First Ottawa doesn't trade Methot within the division unless for a huge overpayment
second Eller would be a 4th line centre in Ottawa, with smith already playign the wing sens don't need more bottom 6 centres

At present time zibanejad is a second line centre with good size. He's 21 years old and you don't think he will continue to grow as he's been showing?

Fans and media like to say he's available to create a buzz and something to talk about. Ottawa management loves the guy and will basically wait until he's a ufa before thinking of trading him. That's a few years away still.
With that said if some crazy lopsided offer that really helps the Sens in the now and future came up in sure they'd listen
He has the skill set and ability to play up and down the line up and be effective in all 3 zones. He's the perfect type of guy to add to help put you over the top
Hoffman was one of the wingers that made it possible for noeson to be traded. He became expendable because others passed him on the depth chart
@mf karma is bad, but not in the way your thinking. Both hank and price got injured because of accidental plays by their own team. Emelin trips/knocks a guy off balance into his own goalie and ranger defender lifts the mask before the shot came.
On topic though, you can't pubish a player simply because a guy on his te injured someone else. You can fine a team or player if they have been instructed to run a player on the other team. But then it gets really iffy, ie bertuzzi Moore incident was he told to do that
