some expendable parts for Jets that should have some value for another team:
Brendan Lemieux for a 2nd/3rd round
(Claude Jr. and jets need to reduce penalties & reputation for penalties, JC Lipon is similar)
Deadline trade for one of Dano/Petan/+ for a rental player
Great play of Poolman makes more options on defense. Will see about defense health & Trouba.

i don't see jets giving up on dano and lemieux that quickly, especially when Chevy traded for Lemieux in the myers trade he said he thought highly of him and was happy to get him after missing out on him in his draft year.

Trouba is not worth less than Hanifin and is entering his prime at the same time the team is stepping up. Jets won't let him go unless they are forced to for contract reasons, and if they do the ideal trade is for someone a little further along in development than Hanifin.
That said they Chevy has made deals with Carolina in the past.

too much to give up for Larkin who won't add much (if anything) to Jets top 6 and is a waste in bottom 6.
If Detroit wants to free cap space how about Connor to Detroit for Franzen. Jets get the sure thing and can use the d, Detroit can get younger, free space and bet on the dream of Larkin and Connor becoming a force together.

The Jets should have some interest in a player like Tanev. History with Moose, brother with Jets, solid D.
They will be more interested if Trouba contract goes south.
Vancouver should be in a rebuild mode looking for top prospects.
So I am proposing that if Trouba and Jets part ways the following:
To Vancouver
Connor + Nogier
To Wpg
Tanev.

The original proposed trade could happen in the right circumstances but these are not those circumstances.
Jets biggest need is on defense not at forward. Eichel would be taking ice time from a very talented Schiefle and overall very productive group of forwards.
The only reason I can see for trading Trouba is future contract concerns - and why rush, he is restricted when it expires.
The Jets strength and most tradeable players are depth forwards and draft picks. There are too many with potential to be solid NHLers in the system to keep and develop.
