Toronto - Adam Larsson (50% retained), P.E. Bellemare

Seattle - 24 1st Rd pick, 24 NYI 3rd Rd pick, 5th Rd pick (whenever), Nick Robertson, Conor Timmins

LMac0420

1.) 26 Feb 2024 19:18:31
- I think you're close, but the second year of retention at 50% is going to cost something, provided Ronnie Franchise even wants to trade one of his more dependable D.

- Robertson has little value, and Timmins has even less value. plus mono. If you replaced those two with a better prospect (or a 2nd if you could pick on up in trade) .

2.) 26 Feb 2024 20:37:14
Hopefully Toronto would pass here. I do like Larsson but not at that expense.

Robertson does still have value. He is only 22.

Toronto- Dumba, Talbot
Minnesota- Kerfoot, Muzzin, 4th

LMac0420

1.) 11 Jul 2022 17:16:10
Not enough from TOR and I don't see MIN needing/ wanting Muzzin

Kerfoot for Talbot might work, but MIN could use another Right Shot.

2.) 13 Jul 2022 00:23:47
Not even close.

OTT & MIN did a nice trade today. OTT gets some present, and MIN gets some future. Nice complementary trade.

3.) 13 Jul 2022 00:59:29
The actual trade for Talbot today was an excellent exchange of asset value. OTT got some present and near-future, and MINNY gets some youth at a good price with nice upside. These offers weren’t close to a realistic exchange.

Carolina - M. Ferland, 2019 6th Round Pick (cgy)
Toronto - P. Lindholm, 2019 2nd Round Pick, 2020 3rd Round Pick (Turns into a 2020 2nd if Toronto signs him)

Anahiem - J. Manson
Toronto - A. Johnsson, 2019 1st Round Pick

Just some ideas.
Thoughts?

1.) 24 Jan 2019 22:53:24
No from Carolina, Anaheim

2.) 24 Jan 2019 23:32:32
I think if Toronto wants to upgrade, they are going to be asked to overpay, it's no secret in the league what they need or want., so why make it easy for them. I think if I was a GM, only way I'd deal with Leafs., I would need to win this deal long term and big., in order to deal with them . They have an abundance of riches, so why help em. that's jus my attitude towards it. Sure. I'd let em get the guy ya want, but ya better win the cup with him now, cause in a few years your deffinetley going to miss the guys going other way.

3.) 25 Jan 2019 00:07:32
A 2nd probably gets ferland straight up.

4.) 25 Jan 2019 04:32:01
Vb have you ever seen any hockey news before like the asking price was a 1st and a prospect (I don’t believe he’s worth that) but I don’t think a 2nd will get it done due to what they want and they can resign Ferland as well.

5.) 25 Jan 2019 05:17:16
Is Toronto a win now team? I figure their core has at least 5 years or so, I would keep your prospects and picks for now to be a contending team for 10+ years.

6.) 25 Jan 2019 11:49:53
Carolina can ask for McDavid if they want. Ferland still won’t return a 1st.

Tor- Nylander
Min- Dumba

Give the team some time to fill the void from within, kapanan or browny or johnsson. If they can't, then put together a package for Mark Stone.

LMac0420

1.) 11 Nov 2018 08:28:55
Leafs add quite a bit.

2.) 11 Nov 2018 11:30:00
What do the Leafs need to add and why?

3.) 11 Nov 2018 13:39:38
Nylander>Anyone on the Minnesota roster.

4.) 11 Nov 2018 16:00:52
I'd do it, if nylander isn't going to resign any time soon might as well get what you can for him. dumba would be a good top 2 or top 4 addition for leafs.

5.) 12 Nov 2018 14:40:36
Do I really need to explain why TOR adds to get a #1D?
December inching closer doesn't really help TORs leverage either, btw.

6.) 12 Nov 2018 15:24:25
Fair enough. Although who on the Minnesota roster can put up points like Nylander? Nylander is what 23 years old? They could give him his 7-7.5 mill per year and instead of being number 5-6 best player on Toronto, be one of the top 2-3 on Minnesota. got to give to get, fills both teams needs without each team losing to much.
It'd be mirroring the Hall for Larson trade, although Larson didn't work out as well as once thought.

7.) 12 Nov 2018 17:58:26
But Larson is actually just what they thought they were getting and wanted. He's doing the shutdown solid D man job he was brought in to do just fine. He hasn't been underachieving in his role what so ever. Not saying it was a win trade for Edm at all or anything about that pet of it, just saying that Larsson is doing exactly what they expected from him.

8.) 13 Nov 2018 09:50:25
Hall is def better than Nylander tho, he's the reigning Hart winner, no?
Dumba won't go to TOR unless TOR substantially adds to Nylander, imo
You are right that it fits both teams needs, but I guess Brodin would be the D TOR gets in such a deal.

Before I get to my suggestion on a trade I just want to touch on people saying that Evander Kane should go for a 1st plus more. To me Kane has little value, he seems to be a liability off the ice wherever he goes, so I don't see any team paying that kind of price unless they are absolutely desperate for offense. I personally wouldn't want anything to do with him on my team.

For me the Leafs have done great so far with the draft, free agency etc.
I don't see this being done because I don't think the Leafs have what the Jets need so this is basically my suggestion on the value lot Trouba.

To the Leafs : Trouba
To the Jets : Timashov, Corrado and a 2nd or 3rd

If you don't agree I'd like to hear who adds and what they add.

LMac0420

1.) 03 Jul 2016 05:12:57
Toronto adds.

2.) 03 Jul 2016 06:28:32
Holy Christ leafs add. Ugh.

3.) 03 Jul 2016 07:15:11
Who the hell is Timashov?

4.) 03 Jul 2016 15:01:49
Leafs have to add a top prospect and they wouldn. t want to do that.

5.) 03 Jul 2016 15:01:49

6.) 03 Jul 2016 15:39:32
Switch Timoshov with Nylander. Timoshov will be better then Marner IMO he's my favourite player in there Organization.

7.) 03 Jul 2016 17:11:39
I just googled this Timashov guy. He went in the 5th round and you think he's going to be better than Marner vbbb's? That's some really good scouting there. I hope you're right.

Unknown Matthews Marner
Unknown Tavares Nylander
Robertson Kerfoot Mikheyev
Engvall Spezza Simmonds
Anderson Brooks

Reilly Brodie
Muzzin Holl
Dermott/Sandin/Liljegren/unknown

Campbell
Unknown

I Would like to see Hamonic or Hakanpaa rotating in and out of the bottom pair.

I Would like to see the resigning of Galchenyuk for a prove yourself year. He and Robertson can go back and forth on the 2nd and 3rd line.

I Would like to see Andersen back as well if possible on a 1 year deal to give him a better shot at more money somewhere else next off season. If not maybe a trade with Vancouver for Holtby half salary retained?

As a depth guy pick up Khaira to rotate in and out of the 4th line.

When it comes to the top line left wing i'm at a loss. Maybe someone who will come in on a 1 year team friendly deal? Anyone have an idea who to put there?

LMac0420

1.) 26 Jul 2021 16:59:36
Getting creative here. The leafs have 9 million in space and Brooks definitely makes the leafs roster he is a lock. He proved he’s NHL ready.

Saad 4 mil x 7
Sandin for a 2022 1st and b prospect
Galchenyuk 1.2 mil x 1 year
Bernier 2mil x 3
Gives the leafs about 2 mil extra in space

Saad-Mathews-Marner
Galchenyuk-Tavares-Nylander
Robertson-Kerfoot-Mikheyev
Brooks-Spezza-Simmonds
Engvail

Rielly-Brodie
Muzzin-Holl
Dermott-Lilijgren

Campbell
Bernier.

I've been trying to work on my values a little more so hopefully I'm getting closer with this.

Toronto Trades: JVR, Gardiner and Sens 2nd 2017
Winnipeg Trade: Trouba, Comrie and 4th or 5th 2017

Is it fair value? If not, who adds?
Yes JVR may walk after his final 2 years, if that be the case I'm sure the Jets management could talk with him about it and flip him to a contender at the final years trade deadline.

Also the jets top four looking like:
Enstrom Byflugien
Gardiner Myers
Seems pretty solid to me.

LMac0420

1.) 26 Jul 2016 14:57:28
Another attempt to dump JVR. Sorry no from the Jets. They don't need JVR and don't want Gardner, a 26 year old that makes the same mistakes a 20 year old d-man does. Jets will not trade Comrie as he is Wpg's future #1 and it will take a better package than this for Trouba.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 15:13:05
Would bring toronto pick down to a 3rd maybe 4th and eliminate the 2 picks coming in from peg. But in the same sense peg has wingers and are a budget team and toronto would love trouba but they are high on this goalie they drafted to be a steal.

3.) 26 Jul 2016 15:43:41
I can make an argument both ways. I think WIN could do better moving both guys separately. JVR and Gardiner are both good players, don't get me wrong but I'm not convinced WIN is desperate enough to settle the Trouba situation that they would move those two young players.

4.) 26 Jul 2016 16:33:45
Isn't hellybuck the jets future #1 island jet?

5.) 26 Jul 2016 19:58:14
Hellebuyck and Comrie. What a nice problem to have in 2/ 3 years. One of them will fetch a great return in the trade market.

6.) 26 Jul 2016 23:02:14
Islandjet if he's your future number 1 what is Hellebyuck.

7.) 26 Jul 2016 23:15:56
BardownBeauty Hellebuyck will be the Jets #1 for the next 3/ 4 years then either he or Comrie will be dealt for hopefully a good return. This is why good drafting, smart trades, wise free agent signings and patient development has made the Jets future seem bright. I think hockey people realize Chevy took a horrible Atlanta team and has slowly turned it into a model of how to build a successful franchise. That is why the Jets won't make many of the trades posted here, but it is fun to speculate.
