Depends where they finish, askarov projects 3-5 overall if he’s as good as he projects to be they should pick him up, not before Lafreniere of course if the win the lottery that is.

We definitely we need one of the best ones available. Our goaltending prospect pool is ok but no signs of one being an heir apparent like a Demko, Primeau or Samsonov.
I wouldn’t mind considering to trade for a guy like Mike Dipietro or Alexander Georgiev who is young but may get supplanted by the better prospect.
It’s a gamble but a nice backup attempt in case we can’t use a high pick on a goalie.

Also, considering our rebuild. We need to draft the best player available regardless of position unless they are so equal in potential that we choose.
Adding young forwards or D are still nice as well. Building a deep team with youth could create the next generation.

The only big move I see is trading pending UFAs for the best return we can get.
Only exception may be AA if he doesn’t have a contract by Deadline.
Mantha and Bert won’t be moved but re-signed. They are our top line with D-boss.
