Just saw a posting on stacking up oilers D and these are legit trades that I saw from a hockey writer.
Oilers: Eberle + Oesterle
Islanders: Hamonioc
Oilers: Nuge
Minnesota: Brodin + 2nd round
Oilers: 4th overall
Arizona: Stone + 7th overall.

Garth Snow has said he wants a D-man of equal value in return for Hamonic so unless he has a change of heart, I don't see that happening.

I also saw a post of garth snow leading more towards a scoring forward because of all the forwards potentially leaving, and they already have a very strong d core.

i could see NYI changing their stance on a return for hamonic. as said already, they do have a pretty good group of defencemen, but they are losing a lot of forwards. trading hamonic to get a winger to replace okposo, assuming he actually leaves, would seem to make sense.

There has been recently rumours because Tavares doesn't really have wingers that can keep up with him. So they are looking for a winger that can really complement him. Islanders are pretty solid with the dcore. Oesterle Is great on the powerplay and is a great offensive dman.
I wonder if they do trade Nuge to Minny if they get Dumba instead that would really help their RHD side. He has a powerful lethal shot. Oilers don't have a player really with that kind of power maybe Davidson.
So there would be no need to trade their 4th for Stone. They could just draft Tkachuk or Dubois for prospect forward depth which they lack really. Then they could actually develop these players instead of rushing them.
It's kinda exciting to see what PC has in the works. I could say I never got excited in the offseason with MacT and Lowe.

3rd trade value is off, but the first 2 make sense.
Adding 2 top d like Hamonic and Brodin would be plenty enough IMO, Klefbom and Sekera rounding out the top 4 with young def like Nurse and Davidson who could fill a spot in the top 4 in case of injuries.
