I don't see room for kappy so move him tvr is a solid d option that the leafs really need to fit in leafs get a 4th line centre for a couple of years or they expose him and maybe lose him no lose just get tvr
Chi gets a young fast winger that would make there team next year at a league minimum what they need and he didn't have to be exposed.

I see plenty of room for Kappy I'd trade JVR to make room for him. He's our top prospect. That package is worth nothing. There is no room for TVR. Kruger=Negative value and TVR cancels out that nagitive value. Also Kappy>JVR
The leafs practically traded kessel for him. It will take an top 4 dman to land him.

How is kappy better then jvr and you have to give up to get leafs have better prospects on the way look at any scouts or insider says about kappy he is gunna be his dad good penalty killer give you some big goals but will never hit his potential.

No for a few reasons. Don't want Stoner's contract. If they are taking the bad contract why are they adding the pick? Vatenan is injured and may not come back the same player. Those two are probably earning a spot on the Leafs out of camp. So again no.

I don't think this new management the Leafs have is that dumb. You are giving up a young NHL player who has shown a tendency for scoring big goals; A decent prospect that plays a feisty game; Plus a 3rd rounder. For an undersized defenseman that slipped to the 3rd pairing in this years playoffs. He also might not be back till Christmas.
I thought Toronto was in year 2 of their rebuild. Why not draft a couple right handed defenders. Foote, Timmins maybe Luke Martin in the second round. Toronto will have a lot tougher of a time making the playoffs next year. Tampa will be better, Florida will not be a train wreak. They will also have to face other teams #1 goalie. I don't think the playoffs are a foregone conclusion.

Yet if this wasRNH for Vatanen, FT4A would be asking for Lindholm + Montour instead. But for the original, i don't mind it, only one concern is that Vatanen is the same mindset is Gardiner/ Zaitsev, not really the defensive guy we want alongside Rielly. I'd rather pay that price for Tanev + a cap dump than Vatanen + a cap dump. Hoever, if this trade was made, i woudnt be very upset.

This sounds like the base of a real trade that could be helpful for both teams. Leafs would need to add probably a D prospect as Hamonic's contract is a cap friendly one and JVR's contract is expiring soon.

I think it's pretty even. D are harder to get and the contract hamonic is on is great. But isles wanna protect boychuk, leddy and pulock and need a winger to show tavates they're trying to build him a winner. Both teams need this type of deal.

Even though Virtanen had a bad season in AHL, I still wouldn't be quick to get rid of him. give him another year, if no improvement then ya. now i'm not going to say he's going to be Cam Neely. not at all. but he was nothing great for first few seaons. so Canucks shoud give the kid a bit more time.

Only thing I disagree with is Martin is in there line up pretty much a guarantee just to keep things calm with all the kids on the roster. Franson has already said he would like to come back. He is a good pp guy his shot gets threw a lot that's what you need.
