I love how the post has more likes than dislikes. its an awful proposal for both teams imo. #1 like shankar said why would arizona give up a guaranteed top prospect for an unknown pick. #2 the leafs probably will be one of the worst teams next year it is almost certain but yes not 100% and mathews and chychrun are both better than either hanifan/strome/marner so why would they give up a chance to drft one of them. they could have one from both drafts
but mehh bad proposal on all ends

1.) Toronto declines in a heart beat. Domi has had a great world juniors and all but he is only 5'9 and will have a lot harder time changing to the NHL game. Nylander is already playing against adults and excelling in Sweden. Nylander also has a better all around game and skill set. Don't get me wrong, domi has insane work ethic but Nylander has more upside.

3.) @NHLFunFacts Phaneuf is a leader, just not a good pick for Captain. Also, Phaneuf is a really weird last name when you think about it.
4.) Assuming they wanted to move him, Colorado could get a younger d-man with upside for ROR.
Which is ultimately the better move given how the team is made up.
