1.) 14 Sep 2019 12:30:15
That seems like a lot to dump a guy who should still be decent for a few of those 6 years.

2.) 14 Sep 2019 15:53:52
Ya way too much from Minny to add to Parise. Way too much.

3.) 14 Sep 2019 15:55:49
Dude, that is a disgusting overpayment to dump Parise. He’s not even a cap dump yet. I think in three years he might be, but he’s coming of a what? 50-60 point year? The dude isn’t a cap dump, c’mon, that’s pretty bad.

4.) 15 Sep 2019 07:17:26
“The dude isn’t a cap dump” he’ll probably be a 4th liner being payed 7+ mil 4 of the 6 years. That being said that is to much.

Anthony Mantha, Darren Helm & 3rd for Tj Brodie & Michael Frolik

[ Top 6 F & Top 4 D for Top 6 F, Bottom 6 F & low pick]

Ultimately its for Calgary to shed some cap space and for detroit to get solid players on expiring deals to decide if they want to resign them or not considering they are still in a rebuild.

Darren Helm 3.85 x 2 yr
Anthony Mantha 3.30 x 2 yr

Tj Brodie 4.65 x 1 yr
Michael Frolik 4.30 x 1 yr

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm

Tkachuk - Backlund - Mantha

Lucic - Jankowski - Bennett

Mangiapane - Ryan - Czarnik / Quine

Giordano - Andersson

Hanifin - Hamonic

Kylington - Stone

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 13 Sep 2019 09:06:47
You wish, eh.

Labeling Mantha and Frolik the same is next level delusional. Easy no from DET.

2.) 13 Sep 2019 10:09:15
Mantha>>Brodie.

3.) 13 Sep 2019 12:14:17
Detroit is rebuilding so they trade away a younger player for players on expiring contracts? Don’t think that’s the way it works.

4.) 13 Sep 2019 12:41:46
Ebsolutley, that's exactly how it works. Helm ain't young and mantha not anything special. Can trade the Calgary guys at the deadline for more most likely.

5.) 13 Sep 2019 13:00:27
You're looking at it from Calgarys point of view but ignoring where Detroit is trying to acquire picks for their future.

I'd counter with:

Frolik and a 2021 4th (assuming Frolik accepts a trade to Detroit with his MNTC)

for

Helm

Assuming this happens to shave some cap space for Calgary to sign Tkachuk or even use the cap flexibility for a trade later this season.

6.) 13 Sep 2019 14:39:36
I also noticed you proposed a trade to take Helm from Detroit but you don't even project him to fit in the lineup, so why is this trade happening?

11 Sep 2019 19:56:33
Sam Reinhart, Rasmus Ristolainen & 3rd
For
Patrik Laine (verbal agreement to resign)

Theres your 2C, Top4D, and pick.

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 11 Sep 2019 20:42:08
Nice. I was thinking posting something similar.
Was just going to throw out Reinhart and Risto for Liane just to toss different ideas around. Can Buffalo afford say $9/ 10M for Liane tho? With Dahlin coming up and Eichel and Skinner on the books? Think they should just keep Reinhart and try and trade Risto (add a little if they need) for a winger in the $5M range if they can?

2.) 11 Sep 2019 21:12:15
And a pretty easy no. Less than zero interest in Ristolainen. Needless to say all to 4D forcarry the same value. You also forgot to add a 1st or A prospect

One local rumour for teams that call about Laine is that Chevy is asking for a good, young roster player with some term and 2 firsts/ A prospects.   So, it doesn't sound like Laine will be moved unless it is a pretty good return.

The Jets needs are 2C and top 4 RHD.   Wingers, bottom pairing defenseman and goalies have minimal value to the Jets.

3.) 11 Sep 2019 21:27:56
I like how you just copy and paste your replies. Here are a 2C and top 4 RHD, both young, which perfectly fits your stated needs and you act like it’s not close. The young roster player they’d be getting with 2 firsts/ good prospects won’t be as good as Reinhardt or Risto, like them or not.

4.) 11 Sep 2019 23:08:59
Oh, my bad memarcus, are you looking for Jack Eichel, Rasmus Dahlin and a 1st?

Cause you asked for a 2C and a top4 RHD, which Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Ristolainen are. The 1st would be added on if one of Reinhart/ Ristolainen wasn't as experienced as they are, but they are already NHL caliber players. This is fair value, not saying it'll happen, but this fits the requested needs.

Yet, 100% the response will be 'You all are very biased against Winnipeg. '

5.) 11 Sep 2019 22:32:04
Yeah, that’s a pretty good offer considering the year Laine just had. If he does get moved (which I doubt he will) it will be another Trouba situation where the value coming back is laughable.

I personally haven’t heard anything credible in regards to what the Jets “supposedly” want in return for Laine, but if Chevy gets an offer like this I’d jump on it.

6.) 12 Sep 2019 01:58:49
Laine has scored 110 goals before he was 21 without a center he has chemistry with. Last year he had 30 goals and everyone says he had a horrible season. I can't see Chevy trading him as he is just too good to trade at this time.

7.) 12 Sep 2019 09:14:42
Yupp i think they may be able to afford him if they can shed Bogo or someone else. And i'm not even going to reply to memarcus or islandjet

8.) 12 Sep 2019 09:16:55
Yupp, tss, jbs, vertius thanks for the replies :)

9.) 12 Sep 2019 09:39:55
Funny how I had Proposed Reinhart and Ristolainen for Marner and most said the Leafs had to add.
Laine is better than Marner really?

10.) 12 Sep 2019 09:36:40
How is this not good enough? This is more than a fair offer. Reinhart and Ristolainen are both near elite for their positions. They are literally a top 50 defenseman and a top 50 forward. Laine had a whopping 50 points last year. Give it a rest. I don’t know what article you cut and pasted that crap from, but it’s obviously a Winnipeg news source. Local rumours my butt. Some dink with a smartphone and Facebook account with a few followers posts something like that and boom, it’s a local rumour.

11.) 12 Sep 2019 15:03:59
No from Buffalo, Reinhart is worth more then Laine at this time.

12.) 12 Sep 2019 16:05:55
TSS - Marcus' response will not be 'You all are very biased against Winnipeg. '
He doesn't have that saved in a google doc yet.

13.) 12 Sep 2019 22:53:27
Im goneee lmfaooooo @tt.

02 Sep 2019 21:26:15
Tippett/Hepo + 2020 1st + Pysyk = Laine
Matheson + 2020 1st + Borgstrom = Laine

Which one sounds better memarcus or are those "add ons"

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 02 Sep 2019 21:44:25
I've wrote this before but I don't believe Chevy is thinking about trading Laine at this time.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 23:05:07
I agree Islandjet. There is very little chance Chevy is considering trading Laine now.

3.) 02 Sep 2019 23:27:48
He has to be exploring all options at this time including a trade route. Any good GMs would have all options brainstorming in these situations. He’s a decent to good GM, so I’m willing to bet they at least have the trade option being talked about. Yes of course he probably doesn’t “want to” but I bet they are at least thinking about and exploring the options. They have to be.

4.) 03 Sep 2019 00:11:52
I agree with that yupp. I'm sure they've had inquiries and listened to them, but are probably leaning way more to the sign him side than the trade him side at this point.

5.) 03 Sep 2019 01:49:13
Gretzky was traded so means anyone can be traded. Want and need are 2 different things. Or sit him and hope for the best. His asking price has to be too high or I'm guessing he would've been signed long ago.

6.) 03 Sep 2019 16:36:36
Oh, I'm wrong, laine is worth 4 1sts. guess chicago got a steal for andrew shaw for a 2nd and 3rd. 47 points in 63 games. Typical the 2 jets guys think he's actually worth 4 1sts or more. Whatever.

7.) 03 Sep 2019 17:32:05
Comparing Andrew shaw to Patrick laine? I know Montreal players get considerably better on here after they leave Montreal but come on lol.

8.) 03 Sep 2019 18:57:31
Just exaggerating habby, just saying it's insane what jets fans expect for Laine. 4 1sts is not going to happen in any sane world. Just being realistic. Not saying he's not good but 11 million or 4 1sts ain't happening. And 3 less points in nearly 20 games less is just an example. Laine had an off year but 50 points? Think he should get 3 years at like 6.3-8.4 which is equal to 1st, 2nd and 3rd for an offer sheet, not 4 1sts.

9.) 04 Sep 2019 04:04:36
I understood what shootsmcgee was saying, why did yall disagree

02 Sep 2019 03:08:28
Would this be fair value for these 2 RFAs?

To Minnesota Wild :
• Patrik Laine (RW)

To Winnipeg Jets :
• Jonas Brodin (LD)
• Joel Eriksson Ek (C)
• First-Round Draft Pick (2020)

To Toronto Maple Leafs :
• Brock Boeser (RW)
• Olli Juolevi (LD)
• First-Round Draft Pick in (2020)

To Vancouver Canucks :
• Mitch Marner (RW)

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 02 Sep 2019 07:49:07
Apart from it being an overpayment, don't think VAN can trade their 2020 1st or at least only conditional, since either the 2020 or 2021 1st already belongs to TB.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 10:36:05
@the_triplets my bad i completely forgot about that

3.) 02 Sep 2019 16:22:28
It's nice to see you doubling down on you heavy biases Sean. A 26 year old defenseman that is UFA in two years and a 3/ 4C for an elite first line winger. I don't think even the most biased homers on this site are going to agree with you on this one. Lol. Although on this site, you never know.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 17:11:35
I can't see the Jets doing this trade and the Canucks have traded away their 1st round pick to Tampa.

5.) 02 Sep 2019 18:31:12
“A 26 year old defenseman” so a D entering his prime? A steady top 4 D entering his prime. A young center that’ll be top 6 in a year or two. And you didn’t even mention the first. For a guy that just had 50 points and will be asking for Matthews money.

6.) 02 Sep 2019 19:03:06
Nice ignoring of the 2 most important facts on Brodin, Ebs. He's LD, so not a need and most importantly UFA in 2 years for an elite 1st line winger. I'm glad your openly showing your bias and poor talent evalution. Lol.

7.) 02 Sep 2019 19:45:14
Wow, I think Benning would set a new world record for fastest blocked number if Dubas offered that. These Marner values are jokeworthy. I’d say we’re creeping on Trouba levels of delusion about now.

8.) 02 Sep 2019 20:11:13
Although I do acknowledge Ebs, that to an Oiler fan, that probably does look like a great return for an elite player, with the management team you've had to live with. You just don't know any better.

9.) 02 Sep 2019 21:20:54
@ebsolutely right? How am i biased @memcarcusjoe i'm not even a wild fan lool

10.) 03 Sep 2019 15:44:50
I’d say LD is a bit of a need for the Jets. And 2 years left on a contract isn’t great but it’s not bad term at all.

11.) 03 Sep 2019 16:53:14
I don’t think Winnipeg would accept but if Laine has another season like last year they might.

1 AINEC.

2.) 31 Aug 2019 13:48:41
Lol every line on team one is better then team 2.

3.) 31 Aug 2019 16:08:24
You can’t be serious VB?

4.) 31 Aug 2019 17:31:52
Forwards are better on team 1 defence is better on team 2 goalie is better on team 1 so they have the edge.

5.) 31 Aug 2019 17:35:06
Lowry - Cizikas - Hathaway better than
Johnny - McKinnon - Rantanen or
Huberdeau - Barkov - Nylander?

6.) 31 Aug 2019 19:10:30
I assumed he meant line by line yupp but I can't be completely sure lol.

7.) 31 Aug 2019 22:07:20
Oh maybe. Lol. But he’s to tell with him.
The way he said it tho means what I first heard. “Every line on team 1 is better than team 2”. I read it literally. My bad.

8.) 01 Sep 2019 06:22:05
Need to think along a bit, yupp. How would VB ever say that, Team 2 has Nylander, he alone is better than Line 3 and 4 combined from Team 1, isn't that very obvious?

9.) 01 Sep 2019 13:45:29
No I meant like match ups of lines like line 1 is better then line 1 and their 2nd pairing is better then the other teams 2nd pairing ETC.

10.) 01 Sep 2019 13:46:35
Also when did I ever overrate Nylander I’ve said he has similar value the Ehlers multiple times.

30 Aug 2019 03:17:46

Johnny Gaudreau - Connor McDavid - Dylan Larkin

Taylor Hall - Nathan MacKinnon - Cam Atkinson

Johnny Gaudreau - Dylan Larkin - William Karlsson

Artemi Panarin - Ryan O'Rielly - Mark Stone

Milan Lucic - Nick Bonino - Tom Wilson

Adam Lowry - Jason Spezza - Garnet Hathaway

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 30 Aug 2019 07:02:38
*builds a goal scorers lineup*
*doesn't include Stamkos*
*OF COURSE includes both Leafs Cs*

*facepalm*

Also what is Atkinson doing in the Speed lineup rather than the goal scorers lineup? Those lineups are sooo badly build
Rantanen as a winger in the goal scoring lineup? Over Kucherov? Over DeBrincat? Over *insert 20+ other wingers that are better goal scorers than Rantanen*?

2.) 30 Aug 2019 11:27:04
I waa trying to balance the teams so its not such an easy answer smh. If i wouldve put stammer or kuch on the scorer team then everybody would obviously choose it because they're stacked. This is to make it interesting

3.) 30 Aug 2019 13:10:31
I’m with you Drais Tavares doesn’t deserve to be there 100% obviously Mathews is a lot better then both but hasn’t be healthy but Tavares sucks he shouldn’t be a 1C on any team. Career highs because of Marner ( Marner has lest Points the year before because he was younger and still adapting to the NHL. )

4.) 30 Aug 2019 13:41:46
Kucherov: is 2nd to Ovie in goals over last 3 years. VB: Obviously Mathews is a lot better. Mathews is comparable to Stamkos at the same age.

5.) 30 Aug 2019 16:36:13
What how’d Kucherov get brought up and Stamkos got destroyed by injuries he wasn’t as good as Mathews his rookie season but he was unreal for like 3 seasons top 3 in the NHL imo. Still is a super star but not as good.

6.) 30 Aug 2019 17:37:43
Stamkos scored 23 goals playing in the bottom 6 his first year, he was stellar. Stamkos would have had to play an additional 27 games to get the same number of minutes as Mathews in their respective rookie years. Stamkos was playing with guys like Malone and Vrbata, a coach got fired over his usage. Pre injury Stamkos was a slightly better Mathews at the same time, I’m not saying Stamkos is the better goal scorer now but Mathews is nothing more than Stamkos was at the same time.

7.) 30 Aug 2019 18:35:24
I should be shocked, But a simple random poll has you guys whining and crying?

8.) 30 Aug 2019 22:31:42
@Yupp ahaha yep can never make a post for fun to see peoples responses without everyone crying around

9.) 31 Aug 2019 02:57:41
I agree Pre injury Stamkos is Similar to Mathews talent wise Stamkos had a better 1 timer and was a better skater ( still is probably ) Mathews is better at faceoffs, defensively and a better Snap shot.

10.) 31 Aug 2019 08:00:47
Right now, Stamkos is definitely better at FOs than Matthews, not sure if you were talking now or Stamkos FO ability when he was AM's age.

Also: There is a very good argument to be made that Stamkos is the best SHOOTER in the game (explicitly saying SHOOTER, not SCORER) . His pure shooting skill is better than everyone else's, numbers support that. Ovechkin is the better (and quite possibly best ever) goal scorer, but oure shooting talent wise, it's probably Stamkos.

28 Aug 2019 11:27:09
The Score's Top Defence Pairs

1. Mark Giordano and Tj Brodie

2. Jaccob Slavin and Dougie Hamilton

3. Kris Letang and Brian Dumoulin

4. Ryan Suter and Jared Spurgeon

5. Roman Josi and Ryan Ellis

Honourable Mentions :

Erik Karlsson and Brendan Dillon
Charlie McAvoy and Zdeno Chara

Do you guys agree with the Score's list?

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 28 Aug 2019 21:27:20
What Slavin played with Pesce not Hamilton lmao Hamilton played on the 3rd.

2.) 29 Aug 2019 02:27:26
During the regular season he played with Hamilton dude and i didn't make these "The Score" did smh

3.) 29 Aug 2019 07:14:45
Poor Hedman having had to play with Girardi.

4.) 29 Aug 2019 14:28:21
No he didn’t not even in the regular season Hamilton played on the 3rd pairing and averaged 19 min a game where Slavin averaged 25 minutes. I never said you made it up.

5.) 29 Aug 2019 16:23:37
sorry but jaybo and parayko where the best shutdown d in the playoffs.

6.) 29 Aug 2019 20:02:11
