Hanifin is is no way better defensively than Trouba. Ask Canes fans. When they saw the trade they all said Hanifin had upside but was a tire fire in his own end.
Trouba doesn't have the offensive upside as your typically #1 dman and makes some bad passes but he is elite defensively.

No way is Riely worth more than Trouba. Riely doesn't put up the same per 60 numbers at even strength as Trouba does. Only reason Trouba doesn't have more points is lack of PP time. Riely is also nowhere near Trouba defensively. Factor in the added value of right hand shot vs left, Leafs would have to add to get a 1 for 1 swap.

Tor does not laugh. Trouba is better all around than Rielly.

Connor has 30 goals this year and is a 35+ goal scorer for the next handful of years. Already better than Hoffman and is 7 years younger.
