just heard that the habs are offering Juulsen, andrighetto and a 2nd rounder to Tampa for Drouin and Carle.

Projected lines:

After seeing that info, I am guessing Drouin's value dipped because of him getting suspended. Matthew Carle will obviously stay in the minors for the time being.

Carle isn't in the minors and sending him down still counts as a buried contract against the cap. Could get Drouin but again. It appears an in division team has to really blow west teams out of the water to land him. Hence asking for Chabot and another top prospect from Ottawa. Also whether that's what they offered or not hard to say it's representative of what the ask is.

Brian Wilde just posted on twitter that the habs and Lightning are negotiating. The Lightning are seeking a right handed d-man, a top prospect and a draft pick. Marc Bergevin likes to trade for young players but doesn't want to give up future assets. IF Marc Bergevin were JIM Nill, here is the trade he would do:

Beaulieu, McCarron and a 2nd round pick to Tampa for Drouin and Carle (Cap dump)

De la rose isn't doing well this year, no need for DSP, Juulsen (right handed d-man for future) and draft picks to sum it up.

Montreal trades Eller, Fucale, 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, Gilbert and a 2nd in 2017

Edmonton trades Jordan Eberle and a 5th round pick.

After, Montreal trades a 1st, 2nd and Noah Juulsen to Tampa for Drouin.
