Philly
Frost
Sanheim
Voracek or van Remsdyk
2nd Rd. pick

Nashville
Ekholm
Forsberg
Harpur

Was thinking draft pick but we need to make room salary cap wise to make room for Forsberg. Frost and Sanheim are two great young players to help with rebuild.

Why wouldn’t Philly just keep the younger winger and young defensemen ?

2.) 07 Mar 2021 06:16:09
Oops I didn’t mean younger winger, young center

phi
Gostisbehere, Van Reimsdyke,

Montreal
Danault, Drouin.

Montreal gets a needed, proven offensive defenseman, a proven goal scorer in Van Reimsdyke. Drouin gets a fresh start in Philly and they get a good centre behind Couts and Hayes.

So 2 bad contracts for Philly for 2 solid top 6 options? Ya no thanks maybe give a 2nd for Ghost but that’s it.

2.) 13 Sep 2020 16:38:43
Yeah no thanks.

3.) 13 Sep 2020 21:02:15
JVR has negative value, Ghost doesn’t hold much at this point.

4.) 14 Sep 2020 00:15:24
No thanks from Montreal. Gostisbehere is strictly offense and there is a reason why he was at times a spare part over the last couple of years. This trade would have to be reworked IMO.

Philly trades
Simmonds, Friedman, 1st Rd pick, Gudas

St. Louis trades,
Parayko or Petetiangelo, Schenn

St. Louis gets Friedman a good young prospect on defense, everybody knows what Simmonds and Gudas will bring and the first rd. Pick.

Philly gets a number 1 defenseman, and a solid #2 centre so they could move Patrick down to #3.

1.) 07 Jan 2019 03:09:52
Yeah maybe if that pick is in the top 3.

2.) 07 Jan 2019 12:43:23
Why would the blues trade petro or parayko for simmonds (pending ufa), Friedman (smallish ahl dman), gudas (not good), 1st end pick (only thing of value) .

3.) 07 Jan 2019 16:28:50
UFA Simonds has value Colt just not for your bottom feeding team.

4.) 07 Jan 2019 18:48:23
Yet again you can’t spell his name right lol wow.

5.) 07 Jan 2019 20:22:46
Boom boom, problem is the offer has Simmonds going to the Blues who would have no interest. The only market for Simmonds are playoff teams with enough cap space.

6.) 07 Jan 2019 23:39:02
A pending Ufa doesn't have any value to a team that will not be in the playoffs. As for the bottom feeding, I really don't take it as an insult. Not onkly will the blues get one of Hughes, Kakko, Vasily Podkolzin, Dylan Cozens, Kirby Dach. Is fine with me not to mention that there are a few players that might get traded at deadline that will pull in a few 1st rounders this year. There are a bunch of dmen projected to be picked later in the 1st round and early in the second right were blues could pick.

So blues get one of Hughes or Kakko
Blues make a move or two and get more first rnd picks add to their farm
Thomas keeps improving to his #1c potential
Kyrou continues his tear in AHL makes jump to nhl.
Kostin takes his great play in WJC and continues to improve as one of the younger players in the AHL.
Bokk comes over to AHL

Jake allen gets Tonya harding-ed. Then blues figure out goalie situation.

Rest of the team plays to their potential and the blues are back in the playoffs.

7.) 08 Jan 2019 03:49:04
I don’t see the rush to blow the team up. Blues still have another year with this core before they are forced to make tough decisions. They have lots of time to listen to offers. In the meantime, Blues allow their very impressive pipeline of prospect players develop, maybe even promoting a few guys, they draft a high 1st round probable top 10 pick, and showcase the UFA’s (Schenn and Pietrangelo) by giving them lots of playing time and opportunity. If the team comes out hot next season, Blues could be the contenders they were hoping to be this year. If they flop again start of next year, then we likely see some significant changes, and that could include management.

Philly
Macdonald, Raffl, Sanheim, 2nd round pick

Toronto:
Nylander, Brown, Gardiner or Dermot

outflat

1.) 01 Dec 2018 15:25:06
That package is weak for Nylander. Really bad for Nylander and brown and absolutely terrible if adding Gardiner or dermott. Especially dermott. Troll I’m assuming? Lol.

2.) 01 Dec 2018 16:31:07
You are under valuing Sanheim. Potential top pairing d-man is well worth nylander who has a limited market because of salary demands. Raffl is a former 20 goal man vety strong on the puck. You must be a leafs fan are ya? Macdonald is in there to help free up $$ to sign Nylander hence the 2nd rd pick.

3.) 01 Dec 2018 17:16:44
You have to ask if Jim's a Leafs fan? Ya must be new around here lol. Welcome aboard,
Your going to have to add., Sanheim may be good, but I don't think he tips the scale enough for that package. Raffl, I nothing special
How about making a way that Simmonds is going to Toronto with a D man for Nylander?

4.) 01 Dec 2018 17:17:13
Brown is a younger raffl, very hard on the puck as well, also a former 20 goal scorer and a Babcock favourite. I’d keep brown over him but call that a wash for simplificstion. You say Sanheim is worth Nylander alone, I strongly disagree as do most people on here I’m sure, but again, call that a wash if you want to. A cap dump and a 2nd for Gardiner, our 2nd best Dman, in a year we are trying to win? Or for dermott, a young player that has shown elite mobility and is going to be replacing Gardiner after the season?! Lol not a chance that’s close. IF the first 2 comparables are equal, which they’re not, it’s still bad for leafs.

5.) 01 Dec 2018 17:50:48
That’s a gross package.

Nolan Patrick, Oscar Lindholm And Sanhiem for Horton, Lievo, Dermotte And 2nd?

Patrick=Nylander IMO.

6.) 01 Dec 2018 21:15:44
Know leafs fans want a boat load for nylander but not going to get it. going to sign for too much, or get traded for less then market value. Teams don't want a pretty unproven player that sits out rather then being on a potential contender. kane, gaudreau, McKinnon all waaaaay better players and signed in 6-6.5 range on second contract. Nobody wants nylander at his asking price or would be signed or traded by now.

7.) 01 Dec 2018 21:56:24
Patrick = Nylander 😂.

8.) 02 Dec 2018 07:01:51
Shoots, gaidreau and Mackinnon were signed 2 off seasons ago but you’re right, they’re better players and signed in that range. The Kane one was $6.3 mill signed 8 offseasons ago. That’s a bit of a stretch to use lol.

9.) 02 Dec 2018 16:43:46
The difference in timing between Nylanders contract and Kane’s, is the same length as Kanes 2nd contract and Jason spezzas! Lol that’s going a little further back than fair.

10.) 02 Dec 2018 16:45:25
I was criticized for comparing draisatl to mackinnon and scheifeles deals because they were 14 months apart or whatever, but Nylanders overpaid because he makes more that Kane signed for 8 years prior haha 😂.

Philadelphia flyers:
Saneim, Macdonald, 2nd round pick

Toronto Maple Leafs:
Nylander, Gardiner or Dermot.

Toronto gets a veteran (on last year of contract) and a young promising dman. A second round pick to sweeten the pot. Toronto sheds some cotact worries with Gardiner going or give up a young dman who don't have the upside of Sanheim. Macdonald in there to make $$ room for signing Nylander.
Philly gets some much needed scoring punch, and a servicable dman in either dermot or Gardiner.

Ok big z , who should philly give up for big buf? What would seem right to you? He carries a hefty cap hit, not every team has the room and the ones that do have the room because they don't want to spend

outflat

1.) 08 Sep 2015 06:00:37
Philly should not be giving up anything for him. They probably won't make the playoffs so young assets and draft picks are more important. They have barely any cap space so they won't be able to resign him plus they have a lot of young talent on d.

2.) 09 Sep 2015 19:42:03
Yeah I agree with oilers_11, team isn't good enough to make the playoffs (even with buff) and I don't believe he'd resign, but if you wanted me to make a legit offer i'd say an offer of Streit (cap dump), Laughton, and one of Gotisbhere/Morin/Sanheim and maybe another b/c prospect

Laughton is about philli's 4th best prospect and projects to be a dectent 2nd line center, and all 3 of those defenceman look quite promising, and streit is there to equal the cap and the other prospect (if winnepeg didn't think it was enough). yes you'd be giving up your future but u have to give in order to get talent

I would add Van Reimsdyke from Flyers and Daneault from Montreal. Gives Montreal scoring on the second line and clears the way to resign Domi. Also levels out the trade in my opinion, good hockey trade.

That is a hockey trade for both teams. Detroit gets a young offensive dman signed on a affordable contract. Philly gets a young speedy winger

Konecny, Frost and Radcliffe! You can't be serious! For Gaudreau by himself! Not a chance

Flyers would not include Simmonds. They should take advantage of Edmontons cap woes. Take on Lucic's contract (buy him out or test for one seadon) and ask for Pulijarvi or yamamato to be included in any Talbot trade. Here is what i propose:

Philly gets Talbot, Lucic, Yamamoto

Edmonton gets Elliott and much coveted cap space. The cost of digging out of the cap mess.
