This actually makes a bit more sense than it seems to.
Burns is an offensively gifted Dman and plays a solid all around game. Shattenkirk is better defensively but also provides a good amount of offence. I think that this would be the building blocks for a trade and not just a 1-for-1. Throw in a Marleau, a Backes, a Fabbri or Karlsson and this trade has the potential to fill either team's needs and be a blockbuster.

To Canadiens - Mikkel Boedker
To Coyotes - Tomas Plekanec, 1st round pick
I Know Boedker is a UFA At the end of the year, but he is a good team player, he's good on defence, and he's more of a goal scorer than plekanec.
Point Stats
Boedker - 43 GP, 33 Points
Plekanec - 44 GP, 32 Points
And Plekanec plays for a better team, which makes it easier to score points.
Also Keep in mind that pleasance is 33 and boedker is 26.
The Canadiens can re-sign boedker if they make this trade, or at least i'm pretty sure they can.
The Coyotes have doan, and if they don't trade him, plekanec can Help them on a line with doan. Pleasance would be a good fit with the coyotes, and Boedker would be a good fit with the Canadiens.
This is all just my opinion.

I'd say Arizona has more potential., and take Peice outta the equation.. and Arizona is probay better. Really wish there was no 9 game win streak to start the season.. wed be in the Austin Mathews running.Totally disgusted by the Habs right now.... it's a one dimension team.
