I agree! The 2011 draft appears to have been very shallow. Some good players at the top, then the talent really dropped off.

Toronto gets some young talent and Vancouver gets a B.C boy closer to his family ,hopefully be able to sign him for at least a couple years.
1.) If Vancouver wants a BC boy, they'll go for a forward like Kane. They need scoring more than anything (well, I guess defense too, in wake of Tanev's injury). But make a trade for a decent forward.
Also, they aren't going to trade Sbisa unless it's halfway decent. They just acquired him in a trade this year, and Benning thinks he has lots of potential.
2.) @thejazz97 , I disagree about Sbisa , he's the worst d man vancouver has , trade him, he's not worth the money he's paid.
3.) Even still, I (this is IMO) would rather have Sbisa over Franson. Stanton? Go ahead. Trade him. Shoo. But I think Sbisa can develop, and so does GMJB.
4.) What! Stanton is a way better defenseman .
5.) @steamer Maybe with John Tortorella. But he's not doing too well with Desjardins' style.
6.) @thejazz97, Sbisa is -11 , Stanton is +8 in less games and has more points, he's actually better in every aspect of the game.

Why would PIT give up all that?
I really like Kane, but it's kind of unlikely that he will find even better chemistry with Crosby than Kunitz.
So why trade Kunitz and a good prospect and a 1st in a good draft?
Only pro is that Kane is younger.
2.) Kane isn't only younger, his ceiling is waaay higher than Kunitz or Bennet could ever hope to reach. Every other Kane post you say "not even close" This is fair value especially considering the 1st will probably be 25-30. Trycreating a post once in a while instead of just dumping on everyones I deas Draisaitl

Also, we need Bennett since he is still on a cheap contract and we don't have many other promising young forwards.
6.) Wow good on you hgg.its hard to hold ones self accountable. It's so much harder to come up with a reasonable trade idea then it is to dump on them and I don't remember the last time draisaitl posted one.
7.) I actually thought people would be saying no from Wpg, due to Kunitz's age , Bennett is a good young player but I doubt he'll be as good as Kane and a late 1st. I also disagree, I think Kane will have better chemistry with Crosby and Malkin than Kunitz.

If TOR or MON or whoever tries to trade for Kane on this site would give the pieces PIT gives here, I'd never say its not enough.
That would be 2015 1st, good prospect (Gauthier for the Leafs or Scherbak for the Habs) + a player putting up Kunitz's numbers.
No problem then, go ahead, I won't complain bout that.
But when I see Franson, Reimer and 3rd for Kane, that's just a bad deal and nothing else.
Btw: I did post a lot trades a while ago, normally you should be able to see my last 5 by clicking on my username,I guess.

I did. And it doesn't matter who exactly it was, there were numerous trades of Johansen to the Leafs (or habs) for a joke of a return.

@Montrealfinest, No , Duclair and the 1st were the main parts for Yandle. Montreal doesn't have any prospects like Duclair and picking up Plekanec isn't going to help them in the future.
Don't think Franson wants to go back to Toronto after having a taste of what it's like to be on a good team.
The only people who look like fools here are the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, yeah it doesn't go against thier cap , but essentially they are paying a guy to sit on the couch. Yeah , brilliant. I hope Clarkson lights it up in Columbus for the rest season.
Who cares about Horton and Clarkson, both players are almost useless to any team , Horton is broken and Clarkson doesn't work. Both guys are paid more than they are worth the teams just traded bad contracts. Columbus wins cause Clarkson can still play , not that it makes much of a difference either way.
